• Podbanske - Bear Watching Slovakia offers an exciting guided cycling tour through the stunning and picturesque valley of the High Tatras. Led by a highly experienced guide with hundreds of bear encounters, participants will be taken to prime locations for observing bears in their natural habitat. Each season, around 50 bear watching tours are conducted, providing opportunities to see bears, red deer, and occasionally chamois.

Bear Watching Slovakia invites you to embark on a guided cycling journey through the stunning and picturesque valley of the High Tatras.

Delight in a day of cycling amidst pristine nature, majestic peaks, and lush forests. Travel on well-maintained paths, with excellent chances to observe wildlife such as deer, chamois, and even bears with the aid of powerful binoculars.

PROGRAM:

• 13:00 – Gather at the parking area in front of Permon
• 13:00 – 14:30 – Cycle through the valley in the Western Tatras, approximately 1.5 hours, reaching one of the three nearby Tatra valleys (Western Tatras) to the bear observation spots
• 14:30 – 19:00 – Arrive at wild bear viewing locations with optimal chances of seeing a brown bear. Includes an informative session about the bears’ life in the valley and guidance on how to act if encountering a bear.
• 20:00 – 21:00 – Return journey along the cycling path to the parking area at Podbanske.
