• Podbanske - Bear Watching Slovakia welcomes you to embark on a guided cycling journey through the stunning and picturesque valley of the High Tatras. An exceptionally experienced guide, with hundreds of bear encounters, will lead you to prime locations for observing bears in their natural habitat. Each season, around 50 bear watching tours are conducted. Participants will have the opportunity to see bears, red deer, and occasionally chamois.

Bear Watching Slovakia invites you to embark on a guided cycling journey through the stunning and picturesque valley of the High Tatras.

Experience a day of cycling amidst pristine nature, majestic peaks, and lush forests. Travel on well-maintained paths, with excellent chances to observe wildlife such as deer, chamois, and even bears with the aid of powerful binoculars.

PROGRAM:

• 13:00 – Gather at the parking area in front of Permon
• 13:00 – 14:30 – Cycle through the valley in the Western Tatras, approximately 1.5 hours, reaching one of the three nearby Tatra valleys (Western Tatras) for bear spotting
• 14:30 – 19:00 – Arrive at wild bear viewing locations with optimal opportunities to see a brown bear. Includes an informative session on bear life in the valley and guidance on how to act during a bear encounter.
• 20:00 – 21:00 – Return along the cycling path to the parking area at Podbanske.
