• 330 Harbor Dr - Outer Coast Charters offers private, small-group saltwater fishing experiences. The standard duration is 4 hours, but the private charter can be adjusted to be shorter or longer as desired. Enjoy the comfort and safety of our “Suzy Q” Stabicraft, a double-hulled aluminum Stabicraft 2500 Ultracab XL safety boat, crafted in New Zealand. As an Eco-Tour, guests will experience the thrill of catching a variety of fish, and after capturing some memorable photos, efforts will be made to safely release the fish back into the ocean.

The fishing adventure targets Salmon, Halibut, Lingcod, and Rockfish, with the possibility of encountering Salmon Sharks, Big Rays, Skates, Sculpins, Kelp Greenlings, or Wolf Eels. The focus will likely be on Mooching rather than Trolling, ensuring everyone has a rod in hand when the fish are biting. This method is preferred over trolling as it often results in more catches and allows participants to feel the excitement of the bite.

Please note that Fishing Licenses (printed and signed), rain gear, and waterproof footwear are required but not included. Purchase your Alaska Fishing License online at the Alaska Fish & Game Store before your trip. Remember to print and sign it, as it is mandatory to have it on board.

Choose your start time, anytime between 6:00 am and 11:30 am, and select your return time as well. You can fish until you’re ready to stop, then either head back to the dock or enjoy a tour around the stunning Sitka Sound, taking in the breathtaking views and marine life. Additional charges apply for trips over 5 hours.
