The palace blends Manueline and Moorish architectural styles, creating an ambiance reminiscent of “a thousand and one nights.” An unforgettable experience awaits.

• Centro Historico de Sintra - Delight in the charm of this picturesque medieval town by strolling through its narrow streets, soaking in the local atmosphere, and savoring a coffee with the local pastry “Travesseiro.” A visit to the National Palace of Sintra is also recommended, as it was a significant royal residence during the Middle Ages. It served several monarchs until the monarchy’s end in 1910. Visitors can “feel” the presence of the many generations who lived in this remarkable monument, especially during the Age of Discoveries when crucial decisions were made regarding explorations of Africa, Brazil, and the sea route to India. The palace showcases medieval, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance, and Romantic architectural elements and houses the largest collection of Mudejar tiles in Portugal.

• Belem - Belém is one of Lisbon’s most beautiful areas, renowned for its magnificent monuments celebrating the 15th-century European discoveries. It has become one of the city’s most charming neighborhoods, perfect for a delightful family lunch with scenic views.

• Mosteiro dos Jeronimos - Construction of the Jeronimos Monastery began in 1501 and spanned nearly a century. It is a remarkable example of Portuguese late Gothic, or Manueline, architecture. As a symbol of the Portuguese discoveries of the 16th century, particularly Vasco da Gama’s arrival in India, it served as a prayer site and departure point for incredible adventures across the Atlantic. Visitors can stop to take photos before continuing to Lisbon.

• Belém Tower - The Belém Tower is a significant symbol of the 15th and 16th-century European discoveries. This impressive Manueline fortification, over 500 years old, served as an embarkation and disembarkation point for Portuguese explorers and as a ceremonial gateway to Lisbon.

• Arco do Triunfo - The Rua Augusta Arch is a historical, arch-like structure at Praça do Comércio, symbolizing a gateway to Lisbon and commemorating the city’s reconstruction after the 1755 earthquake. It has been the site of numerous significant historical events. A brief stop for an overview is planned before proceeding to the final destination.
