Sintra and Beyond – A Journey Made Magical by Mehdi - I flew all the way from the U.S., and despite the jet lag, joining Mehdi’s tour took all the tiredness away. His energy, warmth, and deep knowledge made Portugal come alive,it’s not the same now that Mehdi introduced it to us!
He treated us like family, was incredibly patient, and explained every detail with care. He made sure we didn’t miss a thing,from historical landmarks to the oldest cafés and restaurants in every city we visited. The highlight was definitely our Sintra tour,absolutely magical. Mehdi brought every place to life with stories, history, and hidden gems. Truly unforgettable

Medi the Magnificent - Medi, the owner and operator of Portugal Private Tours was an outstanding guide. He has a masters in tourism and puts it to good use. His historical and local knowledge is incredible. He walks with you, talks with you and has amazing enthusiasm for his subject. We absolutely recommend him in every respect

Exceptional Experience - Our experience in the Private Luxury Sintra Tour was exceptional. We had the pleasure of visiting multiple locations in Sintra and Cascais in one day.
The tour guide, Edhi, was very helpful, professional and above all very knowledgable about the history of the places we visited. He offered us the flexibility of customizing our trip and even changing it as we go. He also had special tricks of skipping lines and booking visits at precise times to make our trip convenient.
We had a wonderful time and I would recommend the experience to anyone visiting Lisbon or is planning to visit Sintra.

Private Luxury Sintra Tour and Coastal Experience - Medà was very knowledgeable of Sintra’s and Portugal’s history. He was professional and friendly. We visited castles with no wait time, and we visited the beautiful coast with incredible sea views. He selected an amazing seaside restaurant with panoramic views and excellent food.

Highly recommend! - Our guide on the Private Luxury Sintra Full Day Tour was exceptional. Even before the tour began, he worked with us to customize the itinerary and handle all the logistics, taking into account that we were traveling with two toddlers. His knowledge of Sintra’s history and culture was impressive and tailored exactly to our interests. He continuously adapted the experience to our interests, making the day super smooth and comfortable. Despite Sintra’s notoriously steep terrain, he even pushed our stroller uphill despite us insisting we do it - throughout the day- and even carried our toddler at times... through shortcuts only an expert tour guide would know. He offered to take photos, gave insightful commentary at each site, and shared useful tips throughout the day. His professionalism, care, and attention to detail made this far more than just a tour...it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

Sintra Full-Day Tour - We had a fantastic tour of Sintra and Cascais, tailoring the trip to what we wanted to see. Mehdi told us all the Portuguese history and gave great detailed tours of the palaces. He brought us to a wonderful restaurant in Sintra. Truly a great trip and guide, we highly recommend.

Sintra tour - Our tour direct Mehdi was absolutely fantastic. There were 11 of us with three cars and Mehdi expertly managed all of us his grasp of Portugal’s history was fantastic. I would book tours with him again

Best decision of our trip! - We spent the whole day with our guide, Mehdi, and it was one of the best decisions of our trip to Portugal. He picked us up right on time at our hotel in Lisbon and made everything so easy and enjoyable from the start. He was warm, friendly, and genuinely kind; the type of person you feel comfortable with right away.
He took us to Sintra where we visited the majestic Pena Palace and the incredibly enchanting Quinta da Regaleira, and also gave us time to enjoy the town. He knew so much about the history of the area and shared it in a way that was interesting and easy to follow, even for our teens.
One thing we really appreciated was that Mehdi never made us feel rushed. He struck the perfect balance of knowing exactly when to provide his expert guidance and when to give us a bit of space to explore on our own, while remaining nearby incase we had questions or needed anything. He recommended a great lunch spot in Sintra, took beautiful family photos for us (and knew how to frame a good shot!), and brought us out along the coast to Cascais, stopping at a few stunning viewpoints along the way.
He also saved us so much time by knowing the best shortcuts, and how to avoid the worst crowds. We were most certainly able to do and see so much more in a day than we would have on our own. It was the best mix of sightseeing, learning, relaxing, and just enjoying the day. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend! Thank you, Mehdi!!
