Unforgettable Singapore Food Tour with Rachel! - I just completed the Culture Curious Singapore food tour with Rachel, and honestly, it wasn't just a tour—it was the highlight of my trip. If you are looking for an experience that goes beyond simply eating and truly showcases the heart of Singapore, you absolutely must book with her. Rachel is a super informative guide whose knowledge effortlessly weaves together the history of the dishes with the broader social and cultural narrative of Singapore. The diversity of food she showcased throughout the tour was phenomenal, providing a delicious journey through the country's multi-ethnic tapestry. I sampled incredible dishes from different communities, and each bite was a lesson in how the Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Peranakan cultures have blended to create Singapore's unique identity. It wasn't just what I ate, but why—and Rachel brought that understanding to life. However, what truly elevated this tour to a 5-star-plus experience was Rachel’s unparalleled accommodation and care. The Singapore heat and humidity can be brutal, but Rachel managed the conditions expertly, making sure I was as comfortable as possible every step of the way. She was vigilant in only choosing stops that were in the shade and made multiple strategic A/C stops to give me a chance to cool down and refresh. Her thoughtful preparedness was outstanding. She came equipped with wet wipes and tissues, not just for me, but for cleaning down the surfaces of the busy hawker stalls before I sat down. She even handled the logistics of ordering entirely, letting me hang out and rest at the table while she went up to the often-crowded stalls to order food and drinks for me. It made the experience feel less like a bustling food trip and more like a pampered, insider's visit to the city’s best spots. I've previously done self-guided tours of hawker stations but having a guide allowed me to try a lot of food that I either didn't know about or wouldn't have tried without someone else encouraging me to try it. Rachel's professionalism, genuine friendliness, and deep passion for Singapore's heritage are unmatched. I left with a full stomach, a deeper appreciation for the city’s vibrant cultures, and the feeling that I had made a great friend. I cannot recommend Culture Curious and Rachel highly enough. Do yourself a favour and book their tour—it's the only way to truly experience the best of Singapore's food scene comfortably and curiuosly! And heed her pre-email warning - come with a very empty stomach - you will leave full!

Best Food Tour - We did the hawkers markets and cultural tour with Rachel. She was very caring and knowledgable about the local areas. We had many tastings both in Chinatown and Little India in markets that we could never have found by ourselves. Make sure you go on this tour feeling a little hungary. We opted for Rachel to meet us at our hotel and take us on the MTR to Chinatown which was very convenient for us. We recommend this tour with Rachael, it was a very enjoyable exoerience Marg and Geoff

Savoring Singapore - If you want to eat like a local while learning about history and culture, then this is the tour for you. My tour guide was gracious with her time helping me navigate everything from the subway system to the spiciest of dishes at the Chinatown Hawker stalls. I was thrilled with a first had account of life in Singapore, one tasty plate of food at a time.

Excellent - Rachel is a wonderful tour guide. Warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the history, culture and food of Singapore. Clearly she has very congenial relationships with the local stall holders. Perhaps best of all, through conversation she intuited our particular tastes and interests, and tailored the tour accordingly. Thank you Rachel, it was a fantastic introduction to Singapore for first timers!

The perfect start to our Singapore adventures! - Rachel is the absolute best! This was an incredible way to kickoff our time in Singapore - not only did we enjoy some great bites, but we also learned so much about Singapore culture and day-to-day life. Rachel also helped us feel comfortable using the MRT trains, which was so helpful for the rest of our time. Rachel is kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. We cannot recommend her more highly!!

Superb Food Tour in Singapore - We booked this Singapore Street Food Tour and enjoyed every moment. Our guide Rachel met us at our hotel promptly as scheduled and did a really fantastic job. She also moved at a comfortable pace, ensuring our safety and comfort throughout the tour. After boarding the local metro, we began in Chinatown and finished in Little India (...just as was described in the booking). Each tasting - Laksa soup, Crispy Curry Puffs, Hainanese Chicken, Roti Prata, and more! - were all delicious and provided interesting insights into the cultural, historical aspects of Singapore. In addition to the food tasting at the popular "hawker" food centers, we also enjoyed our stop for kaya toast at the "Nanyang Old Coffee" house which surprisingly included a charming coffee museum (exhibit) upstairs dedicated to preserving the Singaporean coffee culture. We booked this tour originally because it appeared to be a better balance of food and culture. With the inclusion of the food tastings and Temple stops along the way, the tour did not disappoint and exceeded all expectations. Our guide Rachel was both wonderful and very knowledgeable of the food and Singaporean culture. Highly recommend this tour (...with Rachel if possible!), especially if you have only a few short days to experience Singapore.
