Loved This Food Tour! - Marcus was great! So much local history, an introduction to the Singapore MRT subway system, many cultural tips from a local, and so much delicious food. Very highly recommended!

May Food Tasting - Our tour with our guide, Marcus was very enjoyable. The food tastings were fun and very good. Marcus also provided background regarding the food and venues as well as information and history about Singapore in general.

Marcus gave us an exceptional tour. It was a very tasty and informative introduction to Singapore. - Walking shoes and a healthy appetite. Be prepared for a taste explosion. You will learn how to use the Singapore metro system.

A fantastic tour with the super-informative Arthur - As we were only staying in Singapore for a few days, we chose this tour to get to learn about and see a lot of the city in a short time. We thought it would be a great thing to book instead of dinner one day, and chose the latest (4:30pm) slot in the Tripadvisor booking page. However our guide, Arthur, contacted us by WhatsApp and suggested that an 11am start would be better as the food outlets that we would visit are better around lunchtime with fresher food. He also advised that the tour would last about 5 hours, which turned out to be extremely accurate.
Before the tour we had a few minor questions for Arthur, which he responded to most helpfully via WhatsApp so comms were basically spot on. On the morning of the tour there was an accident delaying traffic but he kept us up to date with his expected arrival time at our hotel.
We were staying in the Marina Bay Sands so Arthur started the tour by taking us up to a viewing area on the 57th floor where we got a perfect view of much of the city and Arthur explained some of the history of Singapore including fascinating facts about the land reclamation, pirate history, water supply, etc etc. He certainly knows his stuff.
The food tour covered three main areas: the Arab Street area, Little India and Chinatown, where we sampled a wide variety of typical local foods, sweets and exotic fruits, all accompanied by really interesting background information, history etc. Arthur did warn us to start the day with a very very light breakfast, and that was excellent advice.
Some reviewers have complained about having to pay for metro (MRT) tickets as part of their tours. In our case this wasn't the case - Arthur took care of everything, including hailing a couple of taxis to speed up our travel between different areas. In any case, if you do need to use the MRT it's fantastically cheap - just tap in and out with a debit/credit card like you would in London and that's it. I'm of course comparing the cost with the exorbitant London Underground fares - the Singapore MRT fares are a bargain in comparison, and the stations and trains are so much more attractive, clean and calm compared to what we are used to in the UK.
Overall, a great day out and Arthur was an excellent host. Highly recommended!

Not worth the money - This was so expensive for what it was!! This isn’t a tour, it’s a (lovely) guy who takes you to 3 different places to eat and asks you what you want to order. The guy was really friendly but definitely not worth the money
