A trip highlight and excellent guide with local experiences - A real trip highlight, the Singalila Trek from Darjeeling was exceptional, made even better by Adventures Unlimited’s careful organisation, brilliant guide (Tenzi), and thoughtful consideration. We were lucky with clear skies, and saw some of the world’s most majestic peaks - Everest, Kanchenjunga and the highest peak in Bhutan, but in fact, the journey was just as good as those photo moments. Tenzi was super knowledgeable about the local bird life and flora. We highly recommend that customers choose to book with Adventures Unlimited, as they prioritise using local guides (who know the land) and stays at local home stays, ensuring the rural community benefits from the tourism in and around Darjeeling. This gives a better and more intimate experience to customers whilst ensuring responsible tourism and good guide welfare. Would highly recommend - remember to pack layers as it’s cold at the top!

Great experience in the mountains - We had a great time in Darjeeling. The guide adapted the tour to our physical needs and availability. Communication with Catherine was smooth throughout, and she made sure everything went well. The stay high up in the mountains was very pleasant, definitely a must in India!

Accessible, excellent 2-day hike - Catherine from adventures unlimited was extremely helpful and accommodating and, despite the weather not being ideal, our guide was excellent. He had great local knowledge of flora and fauna and was very friendly. We would totally recommend to others visitors to Darjeeling.

Best four days in mountains with friends - It's great Trek through enchanted forest.
We had amazing time with our guide Jigme he is very charming and peaceful.
In spring time it's best for flower and birds watching in autumn for mountains.

Superb experience - We loved our trek. It fulfilled all our expectations in terms of being an amazing adventure. Our guide was fantastic so caring and knowledgeable. Catherine who runs the Company with her husband was a joy to deal with throughout. She was responsive to our many questions both before and after the tour. We cannot recommend this Company highly enough.

A Fantastic 6 Day Singalila Ridge Trek Organised by Adventures Unlimited - We did a 6-day reverse trek of the Singalila Ridge with Adventures Unlimited which was fantastic. All the communication with Catherine to set up the trek from the UK was quick and efficient, and the whole trip was really well organised. Our guide Tenzi was wonderful, he looked after us really well and was incredibly knowledgeable about all the flora and fauna (and everything else) we encountered en-route. It is a beautiful trek and we can highly recommend Adventures Unlimited.

We had a wonderful time going on the Singalila Trek with Adventures Unlimited. - We had a wonderful time going on the Singalila Trek with Adventures Unlimited.
Catherine was super helpful and informative, and we always felt, that we were in very good hands. She helped us with accommodation in Darjeeling and transportation from the airport, and she also quickly answered our many questions leading up to the trip. She even helped us with a personal problem during the trip. Thank you!
It was wonderful to have Tenzi as our guide and Roshan as our porter, and they are both very happy, helpful and thoughtful. Tenzi is super knowledgeable and experienced, and made sure, that we had the best possible experience. We really enjoyed and benefitted from his familiarity with the trek and all the people we met along the way.
The trek is incredibly beautiful, and we feel lucky to have experienced a very unique part of the world.

Sandhakphu Unlimited! - Firstly, Me and my wife Marie were absolutely amazed by the hospitality given to us. In short we were on the trails for 5 days. The great views of the Himalayas also came with great home cooked food! What a good combo! Not to forget we were lucky enough to get a glimpse of the mighty Everest and also Kanchenjonga even with the previous day being cloudy.
As we were travelling light, we rented out almost all our trekking gear. Catherine and Gautam had us sorted out. Happy days!
We would recommend these guys any day. Great communication and flow.
Love from the UK 🇬🇧

Breathtaking scenery and wonderful warm welcome and food at the homestays. - Highly recommend Adventures Unlimited. Catherine was super helpful and arranged everything I needed at quite short notice. I trekked the Singlilia ridge from Rimbick to Gurtum staying in remote homestays and passing through villages, forest and taking in the views from the top! My guide Abhishek took the upmost care of me as I travelled solo. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and brought much laughter and fun to the trip. The people we stayed with were so welcoming and the food and the fires made up for the slightly cloudy and cold February weather. The rhododendrons and magnolias were just coming out in some places. A very rich, heart warming adventure and many thanks to everyone who helped make it happen for me.

Lovely Day Trek in Singalila National Forest - I am very grateful for the opportunity to have been able to walk these lands and see the Himalayas. Our tour guide (Nhikil) was incredible and shared a great amount of local knowledge. We were able to spot incredible rare birds, meet local people and see the vast landscapes that outskirt the Himalayas. We also got to enjoy a delicious lunch in Nepal. That was a wonderful experience and I’m grateful to Cath for being so caring and helpful. I would definitely do it again!
It was a bit difficult to pay for the service. As paying something over 100 dollars in rupees is not desirable for me. Paying online is better, they use an account with wise and I spent well over an hour trying to pay for the service. Also, the final 6km of the trek was very steep on a hard road and as someone who treks a lot, I think this could be considered very difficult on the knees. Be aware if you have knee issues. The company did not have a health waiver for us to sign and I think this would be helpful so they can gain a better understanding of their clients health and ability.
