The resulting castle is easily one of the most stunning in all of Europe.The first couple to live there, King Carol I and his wife Queen Elizabeth of Romania were known to be very different in temperament and interests. The king was an accomplished soldier who greatly expanded and improved the Romanian military, and the queen was more artistic, with a great fondness for music, art, and literature, and even published poetry under the pen name Carmen Sylva. Peleș, too, was a reflection of these two different personalities. Important !! Peles Castle is closed on Mondays the visit is without inside tour - Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle) - The fame of the castle taken abroad is due largely to Bram Stoker, author of the famous novel “Dracula” – the story of the vampire-count that never ceases to fascinate. The connection between the character in the novel and Prince Vlad the Impaler – Dracula is even suggested by the author who wrote somewhere in the book “… was it really that prince Dracula who opposed the Turks over the great river, even from the border with Turkey.“ Although the history disproves that Vlad Tepes, ruler with vampire traits ever lived in Bran Castle, the blood – hungry count’s story is so popular and widespread that it almost no one is interested in the truth. Dracula’s legend is one thing, the story of Vlad Tepes is something different, but this “confusion” put the small town and the castle on the map of international tourism and brings important financial benefits to the area. - Brasov - Visit beautiful city of Brasov

Great experience - Radu was an excellent tour guide and provided lots of insight and information about Romania. I truly enjoyed the castles and experience and taking a private tour is the best way to see everything comfortably.

Amazing tour! - First and foremost, believe the reviews that say to get an early start, it’s a long haul and the lines to the castles grow very long, very fast! Radu was an excellent tour guide, he started the tour in Bucharest, pointing out sights of interest and sharing interesting facts about the city. We stopped at Peles Castle first and boy was it impressive. It was packed but Radu pointed out interesting aspects of the castle and talked about the different rooms we passed through. We then made our way to Bran Castle and once again, crowds of people. I opted for a walk around the grounds vice waiting in line for hours and it was a beautiful place. We ended the day at Brasov - a very cute little town. We got to tour two different churches and walk up and down the old town streets. Overall, a fantastic day and Radu made it informative and entertaining. I highly recommend this tour!!

An excellent day exploring Romanias castles - Our tour guide Florin was great. He was very knowledgeable and educated in all subject matters. We enjoyed all time with him and had an excellent experience working with him.

A Wonderful 12 Hour Memory - My wife and I explored this region with Radu, honestly it was the best 12 hour experience from Bucharest. It takes that time to drive to, then walk around the stops and get back. Please go explore this region as the quaint Brasov is not to be missed. Peles is beautiful and Bran is mesmerizing. Radu is experienced as a tour operator. He was in contact with us the day before our tour. Extremely knowledgeable on historical facts as he and his family grew up in Bucharest. He is able to hold conversations the whole 12 hours - and Yes, while driving safely.

Brilliant day in Transylvanian - We just finished our 1 day Transylvania Tour. What an amazing day! Our initial contact was by phone with Giulien from Daco Tours. He communicated exactly what was included, the cost and payment options. He met us at the hotel and gave us our driver's details for the next day. Everything was very efficient and prompt. Radu arrived on time and off we went. Visiting Peles Castle from the outside, the Monestery old & new in Sinia, Brasov old town, the Black Church, the "Secret" Church and finally Bran Castle. We packed a lot of sightseeing in but never felt rushed. Radu was very knowledgeable about many aspects of the day. He was a safe driver, super friendly guy and was able to answer all our questions. We would highly recommend Radu as a guide/driver for this tour or any of the others offered.

Fantastic visit to Peles and Bran castles and the charming town of Brasov - We had a fantastic visit to Peles castle, Brasov, and Bran (Dracula’s ) castle with Rado as our guide. He is very familiar with the locations and shared lots of history and amusing anecdotes. He was also able to take us to locations in the castles that were not seen by the general bus tours such as the king’s bedroom and secret doors leading to the library. We highly recommend this tour

Doing Transylvania in Style - The day to the castles and Brasov is a long day in the summer. Having a private tour with a nice driver in a comfortable car is the best way to do it. Radu was an excellent driver and guide. Highly recommend.
