For wine lovers, an opportunity to learn about and taste good wines. - A great tour. Our guide, Michael, was a trained sommelier with many years experience in the wine industry. During the outing he provided a lot of interesting background information on the production of quality wine. He explained the importance of the terroir (soil type, climate, location, etc) of the winery in the selection and production of grapes, various cultivation and harvesting techniques, and the different production techniques for white, rose, and red wines. He took us to two unique and very different wineries where he gave a tour of their facilities and explained their production process. We then had the opportunity to taste some interesting and very good wines. For wine lovers this was a great experience.

Great Day - Our tour was as indicated. Michael was very knowledgeable and very patient explaining the wine process to us. We enjoyed our day immensely. Would definitely recommend.

Definitely book! - Sooo much wine! Amazing value. Informative guide. Safe drive. Definitely would recommend we visited a small boutique winery, fabulous just fabulous.

Both wine-tasting... - Both wine-tasting experiences were enjoyable! Proprietors were knowledgeable & helpful. Our guide was an exceptional adjunct to the winery personnel & we were very pleased to have him. Nice relaxing afternoon!

Wonderful afternoon with good wine - We had a great time during our tour, the wines we tasted were very good and both wineries were fascinating to visit. We got to learn the story of the founders of both wineries and could feel the passion in their stories. Mike is very knowledgeable about wines and the organisation of the tour was very well done. Highly recommended

Highly recommend - Michael is an excellent guide. He’s a knowledgeable sommelier that is well versed in the country’s history and local vineyards. The wine was also fantastic. I highly recommend this tour if you enjoy wine!

Great visits and great... - Great visits and great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. Interesting visits and a good variety of different wines to taste and a look at the winemaking process.

Excellent experience - Michael was amazing! The two wineries were so good and such a wonderful experience!! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Pleasant afternoon but thought expensive for what we had! - It didn’t start well as the driver went to the wrong hotel and had a different name and number however it was quickly resolved when after waiting an extra 20 mins we text the office the driver was with us within 5 mins. It was an admin error and Michael was extremely apologetic. The trip itself was ok. Michael chatted to us on way to first winery but he was concerned that he was late!! The first winery was beautiful. The hills and country side around it was spectacular. Michael did a personal tour of how they made the wines which took 20 minutes and then we tasted three beautiful wines and a plate of meat and cheeses. We then went to the second winery which took about 30 mins in the car. Limited conversation from Michael When we arrived at second winery we were taken to a modern concrete building where we met Edith who was absolutely superb. Interesting and informative. We were given 5 tastings all delicious However whilst we were drinking the wine there was no conversation just silence. We felt it was a rushed afternoon with very limited interaction from our guide. It was an expensive trip and thought we spent as much time in the car as we did in the vineyards. Perhaps we will book a group trip next time.
