Wonderful Sri Lankan cookery experience with Malee. - Our driver recommended and organised this amazing cooking experience with Malee in the outdoor kitchen at her home. It was fun and we learned how to prepare some delicious Sri Lankan dishes which you get to eat at the end. The ingredients are all wonderfully fresh and she even picks some of them from her garden. Malee is a great cook and host, and we came home with the recipes too so can try to recreate some of the dishes. Would highly recommend this if you are in Sigiriya

A lesson in cooking wonderful Sri Lanka dinner - We were told about Malee's cookery lessons by our driver. Malee welcomed us to her home and her outdoor (covered) traditional cooking area. She was an excellent teacher despite not speaking much English. Our group of 4 friends created lovely Sri Lankan curries and enjoyed a feast. Highly recommended.

An authentic experience. - The cooking class was a wonderful experience. There is a nice room to prepare the food. The family also comes around the corner. You can't get it more authentic.
The ingredients are fresh and the spices spicy. Cooking you look out over the rice fields, while in the corner the wood fire burns. Very nice to do with your partner or larger group.
Of course, the challenge is to make the dishes just as delicious at home.
The price p.p. initially put us off, but we personally asked what it should cost and were able to make a good deal.
Highly recommended!
