Great experience - Shan is an amazing guide. He found the right spots so we could see the elephants real close despite the rain and always put the Jeep so we were not bothered by the others. Great time, highly recommend.

Definitely Recommendable - Shan is a very dedicated and respectful safari operator. We had a great tour and saw lots of animals that we were able to learn something about from him. He took our wishes into account and was very attentive.

10/10 elephant safari experience - Our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. We saw lots of wildlife; herds of elephants, peacocks, eagles and chameleons. Our guide even provided us with a refreshing king coconut juice on our way back to our accommodation!

Spontane Nachmittagssafari - The Safari was great. We saw a lot of animals including many elephants, golden foxes, mungos, crocodiles and several birds. Our driver was very experienced and could explain a lot. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Shan was great, Elephant Safari - Shan is an amazing guide; he chose the best park to go to, based on his experience, and it really paid off. We saw loads of elephants and he was sympathetic to our request o go to places where there would not be an excess of other vehicles. He was super-informative about the animals and we left with knowledge we had not yet known. His jeep was incredible comfortable, with a retractable roof which added to our enjoyment immensely. He was a really wonderful man and gave us a fantastic experience.

Amazing experience - Shan was a good driver and was respectful towards the animals. He suggested to go the Kuadulla park instead of Minneriya because it was less crowded with jeeps. We saw lots of elephants (including a baby elephant) and other animals like birds, buffalos, varana and jackals. The safari in total lasted 5 hours (including pick-up).

Perfect. Perfect. Perfect. - Amazing tour guide! Super friendly, great communication, recommended a slightly different national park due to levels of tourism which we were absolutely happy with! Saw a heard of over 50 elephants which was just incredible - it’s like he knew their exact habits and where there would come out from. Great eyes, would spot the smallest most camouflaged birds in the trees. Despite him doing this as a business, he was just as excited as we were seeing all the different animals (elephants, monkeys, eagles, water buffalo, kingfishers, owls, mongoose) As a tip, it’s a loooooong day - make sure you pack snacks and water and drinks. The surprise coconut on the way home just topped off a perfect day!

Nice driver but too many operators in park. - The bad side of tourism is on display here as there are far too many operators in the park at the one time. Thankfully our driver stayed away from the throng but sometimes you all end up in the one traffic jam. I’m ashamed to have been part of this. Never experienced this in Africa. Just terrible, bad management 😔 I really wish the Sri Lankan government and the world wildlife fund would come together and fix this problem as it is awful I cried when a junior elephant was surrounded and froze, seemingly not knowing where to go until its mother moved her along. This shouldn’t be happening in 2025, no matter where you are in the world. I did love seeing the elephants but it all became too much of a circus rather than a nature Park experience.
