See the elephants! - Excellent early morning tour, all thanks to the wonderful guide and driver Bhashi. He was the best: friendly, smiling, and knew everything about the animals and the best places to find them. I saw more elephants than I could have hoped for. Absolutely wonderful!

Nice half day tour with a lot of highlights - We really enjoyed our safari. The Jeep was in good condition and our Driver of was a real pro, spotted a lot of animals (quite a few elephants, birds, percocks) and even drove back to a point where he heard something and there was an elephant with her baby. That was a huge Highlight. Pickup and dropoff worked very well, we startet directly from our hotel and the pickup as well as the dropoff were on time. On our way back, we stopped for some refreshing fruits, before we arrived back at our hotel. The half day tour is absolutely enough time to get through the parc and experience nature and animals.

Excellent morning safari - Excellent morning out in Hurulu Eco Park. Spent a long time with a family group of around 6 elephants with 2 little ones. Our driver, Barti(?), was very nice, and knowledgable about the elephants and keen to give us the best experience.

Great Safari Experience for Elephant Lovers!!! - We had a great safari experience! Our driver was punctual, friendly, and very helpful. We saw plenty of elephants—some up close, which was thrilling (or a bit too close for comfort, depending on your sense of adventure!). Other than elephants, we mainly spotted peacocks. Our guide was fantastic—he shared interesting information about elephant behaviour and their diet, offered to take photos for us, and even made a thoughtful stop on the way back to get us fresh coconuts. It was a fun and memorable experience, especially for elephant lovers!

Go ahead, it was perfect! - We booked the safari through Villa Sinhagiri where we stayed. We had a guide/driver, Chamika, who took us to visit Polonaruwa in the morning (from the hotel) and took us to eat our best Sri Lankan meal in a very charming Food Village. The visit to Eco Park was an incredible moment. Chamika was very respectful of animals (he turned off the engine right away, was quiet and respectful of their space and the environment). We loved the safari with the open roof where you can see all the nature. Like any safari, the animals present are random. We saw a lot of elephants, peacocks, a chameleon and an eagle. Chamika did not hesitate to venture on side roads, far from the other Jeep, where we could spend privileged moments with elephants. In addition, he had thought about taking us bottles of water and stopped for King Coconut on the way back. We recommend 100%!

Fabulous elephant safari - We had a fabulous safari through Hurulu Eco Park. We had booked to go to Minneriya but received a message on the day saying that more elephants had been reported in Hurulu than Minneriya. We took their advice and did not regret going to Huluru. We saw so many elephants, up close and far away. Our driver, whose name I sadly did not get, was great. He drove safely on the paved roads and through the park, slowing down to carefully navigate flooded roads, pot holes and river crossings after considerable rain in the area. I was particularly impressed with his approach to the elephants, staying sufficiently far away to give them room, understanding when they might want to cross the road, and encouraging other drivers to make space so the elephants could move to where they wanted to go. And he seemed as excited to see the elephants as we were! We saw so many elephants and had a wonderful afternoon just sitting and watching them. They moved so close to us that we could almost touch them. After the safari, our driver stopped at a roadside stall and gave us fresh coconut juice and it was much appreciated. Our driver’s English was limited but he had enough to get by. The jeep provided a perfect platform for elephant viewing and our driver’s enthusiasm and approach to the elephants made for a fabulous afternoon.

Great tour with lots of elephants - Bhashi was a great tour guide and excellent driver who drove us through the Huluru Eco Park where we were able to encounter so many elephants! Some of them were really close and it was truly beautiful to meet them and watch them evolve in their habitat. Bhashi is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He is very respectful of the animals in the park. Before the end of the trip, he offered us some coconut to drink, so nice of him!! I would recommend this tour a lot!

Great for families - Great safari. It seemed like we would never find the elephants but our driver never gave up and we ended up seeing a herd including babies. Great experience and attentive and knowledgeable guide.
