Our driver guide will pick up the group from the designated location and head towards Sigiriya.

Sigiriya: The Ancient Rock Fortress - The remnants of the capital built by King Kassapa I (477–95) are located on the steep slopes and at the top of a granite peak, standing approximately 180 meters high. Known as the ‘Lion’s Rock’, it dominates the surrounding jungle. A series of galleries and staircases, emerging from the mouth of a massive lion made of bricks and plaster, provide access to the site.

Sigiriya to Kandy

Sigiriya Craft Village - Begin the day with a traditional village tour to learn about life in rural Sri Lanka. This small-group tour includes visits to paddy fields, a bullock cart ride, a boat ride, insights into the traditional agricultural method known as chena, and a cooking demonstration, followed by an included lunch. The tour concludes with a return trip by Tuk Tuk.

Golden Temple of Dambulla - A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest and best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. The Buddhist mural paintings, covering an area of 2,100 m², are of particular importance, as are the 157 statues.

New Ranweli Spice Garden - Experience Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices at their source. Visit a spice garden where the aromas of cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and mace fill the air, providing insight into the ancient spice production industry that attracted many European and Asian merchants to Sri Lanka’s ports.

A Day in Kandy (The Last Kingdom of Sri Lanka)

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, or Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the Buddha’s tooth.

Bahirawakanda - The temple on the hill of Bahirawakanda, known as the Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya, is famous for its giant Buddha statue, visible from almost any point in Kandy. Built in 1972, the statue depicts Lord Buddha seated in the Nirvana pose, associated with his first Enlightenment. Standing over 25 meters tall, it is one of the tallest Buddha statues in Sri Lanka.

Kandy Lake Club - Cultural Dance Show - The Kandy cultural dance is a vibrant showcase of Sri Lankan arts, dance, and cultural heritage, a must-see for visitors to Kandy. Established in 1982, the Kandy Lake Club Dance brings together all Sri Lankan dance types on one platform. It has become a tourist attraction, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage. The show features dances depicting the graceful movements of birds and animals, tracing their origins to the ancient ritual known as the Kohomba Kapkariya, as well as energetic acrobatic performances, including leaping pirouettes, plate-spinning, and the dramatic ‘fire walk’ that concludes the show.

Kandy to Nuwara Eliya (Through the Tea Plantations)

Ambuluwawa Tower Gampola - The Ambuluwawa Tower is a unique destination in Sri Lanka, located in the Ambuluwawa Diversity Complex, the country’s first multi-religious center. It features a Buddhist Stupa, a Christian Church, a Hindu Kovil, and a Muslim Mosque.

Ramboda Waterfall - A brief stop will be made at this stunning waterfall.

Damro Labookellie Tea Centre and Tea Garden - Enjoy a fresh cup of Sri Lankan tea and visit a tea plantation and factory.

Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Gregory Lake - Known as Little England, this is a great lake park offering various water sports and small restaurants.

Nanu Oya Railway Station - Train to Ella
This train ride is one of the tour’s highlights, considered the best train ride in the world. Complimentary tickets will be provided.

Ella to Mirissa

Nine Arches Bridge - Also known as the Bridge in the Sky, this viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka is a prime example of colonial-era railway construction. It is located in Demodara, between the Ella and Demodara railway stations.

Yala National Park - Known as leopard country, Yala boasts the highest leopard density on the planet. These majestic predators roam the park, alongside elephants and cautious deer. Main animals to observe include leopards, elephants, bears, and deer.

Mirissa

Mirissa - Optional activities include scuba diving, whale watching, visiting Coconut Tree Hill, and relaxing on the stunning beach.

Mirissa to Colombo Airport

Galle Fort - The story of the Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is captured in every traveler’s photos and captions. Initially built by the Portuguese in the 16th century, the fort was later fortified and conquered by the Dutch in the 17th century, before falling to the British. The old town of Galle was a trading port for spices and goods for over 200 years. Today, the fort is a place of history, romance, and beauty, welcoming travelers to explore its exotic stories and heritage.

Fifty Lighthouse Street, set within the fort, offers the perfect base to explore Galle’s charms. Preserved in its original glory, visitors can stroll along the ramparts and admire structures like the Galle Lighthouse, Galle Clocktower, and the Groote Kerk.
