Sigiriya: The Ancient Rock Fortress - The remnants of the capital built by King Kassapa I (477–95) are located on the steep slopes and at the top of a granite peak, standing approximately 180 meters high. Known as the ‘Lion’s Rock’, it dominates the surrounding jungle. A series of galleries and staircases, emerging from the mouth of a massive lion made of bricks and plaster, provide access to the site.
Sigiriya to Kandy
Sigiriya Craft Village - Begin the day with a traditional village tour to learn about life in rural Sri Lanka. This small-group tour includes visits to paddy fields, a bullock cart ride, a boat ride, insights into the traditional agricultural method known as chena, and a cooking demonstration, followed by an included lunch. The tour concludes with a return trip by Tuk Tuk.
Golden Temple of Dambulla - A sacred pilgrimage site for 22 centuries, this cave monastery, with its five sanctuaries, is the largest and best-preserved cave-temple complex in Sri Lanka. Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, or Sri Dalada Maligawa, is a Buddhist temple in Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the Buddha’s tooth.
Bahirawakanda - The temple on the hill of Bahirawakanda, known as the Sri Maha Bodhi Viharaya, is famous for its giant Buddha statue, visible from almost any point in Kandy. Built in 1972, the statue depicts Lord Buddha seated in the Nirvana pose, associated with his first Enlightenment. Standing over 25 meters tall, it is one of the tallest Buddha statues in Sri Lanka.

Established in 1982, the Kandy Lake Club Dance brings together all Sri Lankan dance types on one platform. It has become a tourist attraction, offering a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage. The show features dances depicting the graceful movements of birds and animals, tracing their origins to the ancient ritual known as the Kohomba Kapkariya, as well as energetic acrobatic performances, including leaping pirouettes, plate-spinning, and the dramatic ‘fire walk’ that concludes the show.
