The tour begins with a pickup from your resort or hotel. First, visit a local school to interact with the children and learn about their education and culture. Next, head to ‘The Sigatoka Sand Dunes National Park,’ Fiji’s first National Park, established in 1987 to preserve a unique natural and cultural heritage site. You can either take a one-hour walk to explore this unique ecosystem or opt for a guided tour with a local ranger. The tour continues with a scenic drive through the picturesque Sigatoka Valley, offering stunning views of Fiji’s renowned ‘Salad Bowl,’ famous for its vibrant patchwork of fruit and vegetable crops and mountains. Proceed to Lawai Pottery Village, a traditional Fijian village located about 5km from Sigatoka Town. The visit begins with a village walk for a cultural experience, followed by a short pottery-making demonstration and interaction with locals, including Kava tasting. Handmade pottery is available for purchase at your own expense. After the village visit, head to Sigatoka Town for an excellent shopping experience, exploring local handicraft shops and markets. The tour includes a light lunch.
