Highlights
  • Ordine Ingegneri della Provincia di Siena - Join our Tuscan cooking class in Siena. The school was the first in Siena, founded in 1996.

The lessons will be held by Francesco, the owner of the cooking school, that has always been a passionate lover of traditional tuscan family recipes, coupled with only the healthiest and most authentic local ingredients.

Francesco teaches how to prepare a full Tuscan menù from starter to dessert including a fresh home-made pasta.

The menu is not always the same, but every time we prepare 5 recipes, find an example below.

Of course we can choose between various starters, soups, fresh pastas, like, ravioli, gnocchi and pici, with related condiments. For example, there can be a main course of meat with side dishes. Desserts can be typical from Tuscany, or typical of other Italian regions.

At the end of each lesson, the meal is served with the food prepared during the lesson, together with a ¼ per person of excellent Tuscan IGT wine.

Excellent cookery class, superb chef, translator, facilities and product!! - My wife and I attended the morning cookery school as a birthday gift from friends who accompanied us. We all cook, but are not in any way professional. I was a tad nervous but didn't need to be, we were made to feel at ease from the outset. The chef was Italian with a superb English interpreter. They worked seamlessly together. In a bright, clean, modern and superbly equipped kitchen we learned to make Picci (a local speciality pasta) with tomatoes and pesto, and egg pasta Ravioli with spinach and ricotta, served with a butter and sage sauce. The learning was fun, informative and I admit to getting quite competitive! After watching the chef it was our turn, with hints and guidance all the way. We then cooked our products for lunch and it was divine! Accompanied by bread, olive oil, olives and a lovely red wine we all sat together and enjoyed our hard work. A brilliant experience, thoroughly recommended.

Deliciously fun cooking class - Francesco and Julie were wonderful. Together they taught us how to prepare a multiple course Italian dinner. We started with soup, pork and potatoes, tomato basil sauce, and rolled Pici pasta followed by a caramel dessert custard. It was delicious and we learned enough to try making it ourselves when we get home

Fantastic from start to finish - Fantastic experience - Francesco was so knowledgeable & we all had a turn helping him prepare 3 Tuscan dishes. The 4th dish was pasta which was demonstrated & then each of us had chance to make- a lot of fun & the food at the end was amazing.

If you want to laugh and learn ...... - The session we booked was brilliant! Our first time having a cookery class and it was even better than we expected. There were about 12 of us and the chef and his co presenter were amazing facilitators. They bounced off each other and made a great team. They kept the session fun and engaging and it was good to have the lesson in Italian and English as we picked up more Italian words for future trips. Everything was so organised and the presentation parts were really polished. It was lovely to sit down for a 4 course meal and wine after with the group and our meal. I honestly couldn't fault this class, we were nervous to do it but as soon as we walked through the door we were made to feel at home and it was an experience we will never forget (for all the right reasons!).
