FANTASTIC TRIP - A fantastic day at sea viewing the Whitsundays. The two stops were excellent, the viewpoints on Tongue Island were amazing.
The stopover on Whitehaven beach was beautiful. If offered the parasol get one you will need shade, they are like mini gazebos

Whitsunday cruise - An amazing day with a great crew who were very informing with their knowledge. Day was a mix of rain and sun but didn't detract from such a great time. Well worth taking a day out of your holiday to do

Best of the Whitsundays BY FAR - My family I spent hours and hours looking for the perfect Whitehaven beach tour for our second ever visit. Our hotel receptionist recommended this tour. We wanted a comfortable and relaxing experience as our first Whitehaven trip was very fast paced. This was perfect for us to enjoy a family day on the best beach in the world. We were lucky enough to have Tash look after us on the boat. Nothing was ever too much for her, even my energetic boys who had a million questions for her. She took the time to build sandcastles with the boys so my husband and I could relax in paradise. Lunch was very well prepared, and we loved the air con especially on the journey back!! Thank you all for a memorable day.

Safety first. - Did the big island tour with sealink on Saturday and it was amazing. We had northerlies which meant we couldn’t visit Whitehaven beach as we couldn’t land safely but we still saw it. Thank you for making sure everyone was safe.
I heard some people grizzling but honestly. You put my safety and that of my grandchildren first and took us to another beautiful location.
We still saw everything you promised.
Food was great but the crew. Wow, they were exceptional. Credit to Sealink.

Brilliant full day tour - Must do! - Thank you SeaLink Whitsundays for a brilliant day out on the water.
Master Christian & the all female crew (so proud of them all) were outstanding all throughout the day. They worked as a team, so efficient & like clockwork.
Everyone onboard had an awesome day.
Food was delicious & plenty for everyone.
Unfortunately due to strong northerly winds we couldn’t visit Whitehaven Beach safely (which was disappointing but understood safety is the crews priority) we anchored around at Chance Bay which was protected from the northerly wind & spent a couple hours on the beach there.
Totally recommend this tour if anyone is visiting Airlie Beach.

A Real Let Down - Unfortunately, this trip didn’t live up to our expectations. Not here to slander the company, but just to give an honest review based on our experience. There were a number of things that made this experience less than enjoyable for us:
1. Lack of organisation:
It was off to a bad start organisation wise as our ticket stated the pick up point was “Club Croc - Bus Stop, Shute Harbour Road (Club Croc’s main reception area)”. As this was a little contradictory, we rang the office to double check, and even the guy on the phone sounded confused and didn’t fill me with confidence, but told me it was outside the resort, on the main road bus stop and to turn right out of the resort - this was wrong. We saw the bus turn into the hotel so had to run around. So not a great start! This lack of organisation also continued on the boat itself in terms of organising groups on and off at the stops.
2. Negative/Scaremongering Bus Driver:
This was followed up with a very depressing bus journey, on which we were warned about the dangers. However, it was all doom and gloom, telling us how it could be fatal if we don’t wear our wetsuits (but telling us repeatedly) and how the company don’t want a lawsuit (highly unnecessary to mention this). Then went on to talk about how dangerous it is to burn (we’re not children) and how someone came off the tour with third degree burns. Whilst I think the info is important, is it necessary to present it in such a negative/scaremongering way, to put a real dampener on the start of the trip? I personally don’t think so.
3. The Boat Itself:
There were two boats waiting in the harbour, one bigger (and more comfortable looking), but alas, we were directed to the smaller vessel. Their selling point of sailing “under capacity” for a more spacious journey was not our experience at all. We felt cramped and didn’t have much space to our self at all on the boat. Very little table space in comparison to the amount of guests, meaning we had to eat our “lunch” off our lap.
4. The Food:
Which brings me to the lunch. I can tell you now this is nowhere close to a “gourmet” lunch by any sense of the word. Everything came out of a bag and the chicken legs were like something I would feed to a dog. Alas, I didn’t book the trip for the lunch - so whatever, this is by the by. However, please do level your expectations for the lunch if you’re planning on booking this tour - if you’re looking for the “gourmet” lunch they promise, you will not find it on this boat.
5. No Whitehaven Beach Stop:
We were told as we set sail, that wind was to pick up in the afternoon, but conditions were fairly good this morning. We were told our first stop would be Tongue Bay for the hill inlet - great! The views are undeniably awesome up there, there’s no doubt about that. However, on return to the boat we were told that we could no longer stop at Whitehaven beach due to weather. I completely get weather conditions are out of their control but many other smaller vessels managed to make it, so I suggest booking one of the smaller boats if you want to guarantee Whitehaven beach as I noticed previous reviews for SeaLink stated this happened to them also, so obviously a regular occurrence. What annoyed me was that they knew the wind conditions were going to pick up in the afternoon so why did they not alter the itinerary to stop at Whitehaven first when the conditions were much better? Seems to me, customer satisfaction is not their priority. They pass it off as “safety is priority” but I have to disagree, as switching the order of the day would have solved this issue. Other customers complained about this on the boat and I heard the captain explaining to someone why we couldn’t stop at Whitehaven. He claimed all the other tour operators were doing the same, which was totally incorrect. There was only 1 x other tour operator (Cruise Whitsundays - a similar size vessel to us) that made the alternative arrangement to Chance Bay.
6. Poor facilities in comparison:
The other tour operator that came to Chance Bay alongside us made us feel like paupers. While our company had 2 x cabanas for 80+ people to seek shade, the other company had multiple individual Cool Cabanas and beach tents for their guests to use, as well as stand-up paddle boards, while we had a measly set of buckets and spades - wow. The other group also had a sausage sizzle which was probably more “gourmet” than our scraps.
7. Staff
We found the staff to be quite mixed, some were lovely and approachable, but some were dismissive. One girl with red hair was coming in and out of the store cupboard with her arms full of bottles, we tried to help by holding the door open for her and got no ‘thank you’, she just blanked us. The girl at the bar also came across rude and abrupt when we asked to pay our tab and were told there’s no signal. It’s small interactions like that which can make the difference.
This tour is one of the more expensive ones in comparison to some of the “thrill seeker” type boats. We chose this one on the basis it would be a bit more luxury and well-organised. I would not recommend the trip and certainly wish we had chosen another tour operator in hindsight.
