Above and beyond expectations! - So let me start off by saying that our driver for the day and tour guide went above and beyond. First off we are on a cruise ship as well and picked us up from the port was very on time and very respectful. He gave us so much information about their country and all the different places that we drove around to. Then we made it to the echo Park animal sanctuary where he dropped us off to an awesome guy that toured us around to show us the monkeys the sloths and the parrots. We got great pictures with all of the animals. From there he took us to a chocolate factory, rum tasting, and local shops which was not included in the description but was added for free along with stopping at a gas station for local beer that was $5 USD for four bottles. From there We went to the snorkeling location which was only supposed to be a 45-minute round trip and we were able to extend it to an 1hr and 30 minutes. For you great swimmers out there that love snorkeling this is an excellent opportunity to see lots of reefs colorful fish very vibrant and colorful coral along with lots of sea fans. Then from there he took us to a local food shop to get lunch and he was very attentive on our food being ready on time and served hot and fresh with excellent service. He also gave us some free Honduras currency to keep. From there he took us back to the port with plenty of time left and not one stress in the world about being late. I even recommend this tour for people who are not on a cruise ship and want to tour the island and enjoy what they have to offer. 10/10 would recommend!

AMAZING experience for our cruise ship excursion!! - I booked this excursion through the Shipmate app. My husband and I love the water and animals so this was a perfect fit for us both. We were given very good directions to the meeting point for the excursion. We met Anthony outside the gates of the port. We were the only ones on the tour that day so we had basically a private tour! Anthony was a very attentive guide. He drove us around Roatan and told us all about his island home. He took us to an animal park where we held sloths, monkeys, and birds. I loved the sloths so much!! After our animal encounter, Anthony took us to a boat where Shervin took us snorkeling on the reef. So beautiful!! The boat was very nice and Shervin offered us water or beer and snacks. We had 2 stops on the reef and then he took us back to the shore where we met Anthony again. He drove us back to the port while telling us more about the island. I would do this tour again in a heartbeat!! I HIGHLY recommend these guides!! Extremely professional and accommodating.

A great tour with a fantastic Guide on Roatan - Our Visit to Roatan was on October 10th 2018 .We met our guide just outside the port in Roatan. Aaron was our guide for the day & promised that he was ours for the day & would make sure we had a memorable tour. The tour was very personalized as it was only my wife , myself, & Aaron in the car. We started with a trip to Arch's Iguana & Marine Refuge, & fed the Iguanas. Next we went up to a hill top on the island to shoot some pictures & visit a group of shops selling island souvenirs. Next we went to the Monkey & Sloth park. We got to hold a Sloth & watch their amazing slow motion movement. From there we stopped Mayak Chocolate on the West End. They did a history of Chocolate & demonstration on how chocolate is made. From there we drove back up the mountain & stopped in to the Roatan Rum Factory. They have several different " standard blends" of Rum & Rum Cakes. You can sample their wares. We purchased a bottle of Chocolate Rum that was fantastic. You can get your own custom blend of Rum made here which is a very cool opportunity. Mike the owner is a lot of fun . This is another excellent point to shoot pictures. From there we drove down to the Beach & Dive Resort side of the Island & visited Banana Dive & Beach Resort. Did some swimming, & had a couple local Beers at the Bar. From there we traveled back to the Cruise Terminal in time for our departure. The roads on Rotan have had some major improvements since our last visit there in 2016. If you are headed to Roatan make sure that you get Arron to be your guide with Anderson Tours. We felt that we got our money's worth & learned the history of the island . It was a great 6 hours of touring Roatan & we would take this tour again on our next visit !

Bit of a bummer - This tour was a little sad, we held sloths and went into an enclosure with Capuchin monkeys. It could have lasted 10 minutes... it got drawn out by the staff taking lots of pictures they want you to buy. Our guide was rude to the females in our party and constantly talked to the male in our party about getting or smoking weed, even though we said none of us do that- and I had a 16 year old so that was not ok with me. We told him what we wanted to eat but he just took us to some people that he knows that have a restaurant and they did not serve the conch soup and other things we requested. We went snorkeling and thar was fun. But there was a lot of talk from the guides about how little money they make.... awkward...

Well, where do we start? When we left... -
Well, where do we start? When we left the Mahogany Bay area to meet up with our tour guide, no one seemed to of heard of them...finally we were directed over to a group of Daniel Johnson's monkey and sloth hangout guides, which one of them walked us around to help us try and find our tour guide, finally after an half hour of them late a guy ran up to us and directed us towards a house with a few cars parked behind...taxi cabs more specifically...Homer was nice enough but as we find out later he wants to dump us so he can go pick up passengers. So the tour starts out rough, but Homer takes us to the Monkey and Sloth Hangout and well they have no record of us having a reservation for the Hangout nor the snorkeling, they made comment that they were accomodating us...the monkey and sloth hangout was pretty neat with the capuchin monkeys jumping and climbing all over us, but after that being over which was roughly 25 to 30 minutes, we were off to snorkel...again no record of our reservations. The snorkel area was a short boat ride to a marine park which is where we snorkeled on the inside of the coral reef due to high winds, otherwise they said it would of been on the ocean side where the colors were more vibrant and fish more plentiful, instead we saw a few fish and one lobster again for maybe 30 minutes up to maybe 45 minutes tops...then the fun part comes in where our driver once we get into the car tells us that Parrot Tree Plantation is closed for the next few months...never told us why but it was closed, so he took us to an abandoned restaurant up above a golf course for a 15 minute view of the island, so not worth it....then he takes us back to our ship and tells us about the free beach next to our ship...so our 5 hour tour turned out to be approx. 1.5 hours...boy we trusted trip advisor...and we are senior contributors...my wife was very leary because there were no reviews...well now there is ONE REVIEW....STAY AWAY FROM THIS TOUR!!!
