This fairy-tale village is bound to inspire you as one of Japans most picturesque sites. - Hida Furukawa Old Town - Your group will then be whisked off to the canal lined streets of Hida-Furukawa. Your group will spend 1 hours here, exploring the town and taking in lunch. This once significant outpost during the Edo period is rich in architectural history. Famous for its timber craftsmanship and rowdy festivals this village is a rare gem among the towns and villages of this mountainous region. - Takayama - Next stop is Takayama, you will spend 2 hours here exploring this beautifully preserved old town, famous in Japan for carpentry and Sake brewing. Kanazawa city was the best! - We be travelled for two weeks in Japan, staring from Osaka ( we loved it), following to Kyoto ( beautiful, traditional but touristic), then Kanazawa was the ultimate destination! Kanazawa is the must place to visit in Japan! The end destination was Tokyo from which I believe the best city which is not advertised at Al is the beautiful Yokohama! Don’t miss that!

Marvelous - We had an amazing tour with Mr Tetsuro. He brought us to places where we might not be able to do if we were on our own. He shared his personal experience & stories relevantly. Light snow on the day made it even wonderful.

A great tour of beautiful places - Tetsuro Aiba is a great guide and made the experience what it was. He was knowledgeable about the distant history of the places we visited and could comment on recent developments. I had a blast learning about a snowy mountain village and the food of Takayama. The mountain roads had beautiful views, and the whole experience was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Best tour with our guide Kumiko - The best tour ever. We had a wonderful day with our guide Kumiko. She is the best guide we've ever had. She is from Takayama so she knows the region very well and she is very professional, detailed, pleasant, happy...you'll have the best experience to visit the region and you'll know very traditional places for shopping and eating. She is a 10/10 :)

Worthwhile private tour - Had an excellent time with our guide/driver Yuuka. She drove us in a very comfortable, large Toyota van that held the 4 of us. In addition, she advised us on the best itinerary based on conditions (including the crowds) and time remaining on our tour. The company communicated very well with us prior to the trip. Would totally recommend this as a great way of maximizing your time.

History in the building! - Mountain driving with a lot of snow; Kumiko is an excellent driver! Possible to combine all 3 UNESCO sites. She found an amazing restaurant that locals go to s no tourist trap!

Awesome experience! - We had a fantastic time as a family in this private tour! Kudos to Mai, our tour driver! She is nice person (very important when you’re in an all-day private tour), and very knowledgeable about the region. She was very flexible, especially when we decided to skip the visit to Hida Furukawa and spend more time in Shirakawago and Takayama (amazing spots, by the way). Lastly, but very important, she is a great and calm driver, and is always checking the weather and road conditions, especially when snowing. Highly recommended!

Private tour to Shiragawago - We did not get to go to Hida Furukawa due to the weather. Mr. Tetsuro, our guide, was knowledgeable and spoke fluent English.
