Add this Samurai cutting experience to your itinerary - Thanks for a really well done Samurai experience. With attention to detail, & consideration for everyone, our teen boys also had a wonderful time. It was fun, as well as interactively educational.

Awesome Experience - Awesome! I am with my two teenage sons, they love it too. We got to experience the samurai way of handling the sword and the cutting technique. The attire looks great and we had a great time!

Pretty intense experience - Good sound instructions. Safety is emphasized because the katana you use to cut the bamboo rolls are razor sharp.

Perfect - Exactly what I wanted from an experience of this sort since it is one of the few things I had to do in Japan, better than any museum

Definitely Recommend - Very memorable experience that I would readily recommend to anyone interested in Samurai. The instructor was informative, warm, and instilled great respect for the art of Laido. Being able to wield a real katana was surreal and everyone working there was very positive and supportive.

Wonderful Experience! - My two sons (teenagers) and I greatly enjoyed the Sword Cutting experience! The session was a huge treat to be able to handle real katanas and learn just a little about the way of the Samurai. Our instructor was encouraging and skilled himself. This is not a tourist trap in any way shape or form. I felt the pricing was very fair and the appropriate for the experience and time spent. I would highly recommend this experience!

So worth it! - Great experience for the whole family. I would highly recommend the experience. They were great with photo opportunities for everyone and patient when it took me extra time to get the sword movements correct. Heads up…you can NOT be a left handed samurai!

Just what my teen sons wanted to do in Japan! - This was a wonderful highlight of our trip to Japan. My teens wanted to do this before we left and I depend on Viator for multiple experiences throughout our travels. The place is on a quiet residential street so give yourself enough time to get there. We opted for an Uber since there was five of us. It’s unassuming from the outside but when you step in there is a wall lined with ornate Samurai regalia, very beautiful. The teacher (Master) was such a great instructor. He led with grace but was firm with his presence and commanded much respect. You get to cut the mats twice after learning the correct way to do it, then he gives a fabulous demonstration. I highly recommend anyone this experience!
