10/10 would recommend (Andrew is a great host) - So glad we booked this tour experience. The guide we were paired with, Andrew, was fantastic. We couldn’t praise him enough. He messaged on WhatsApp the night before to confirm meeting details, including pictures of where to meet. Then when we arrived on the day, it was absolute chaos with several tours all meeting at the same place and time, and 100s of people looking for their tour guide. I found Andrew relatively easy via his name card, and he was an oasis of calm in the sea of chaos. He ensured we got checked in and boarded the correct coach, and made sure to give us extra room for our family by allowing us to have the full back row of seats. He was very charismatic and engaging throughout the coach ride, providing knowledge and anecdotes about Japan and introducing himself. He was very polite and entertaining throughout the day as we went through each stop. He did a fantastic job of keeping the group together and ensured we were all at the meeting points at the right time throughout the day. During free time periods at each stop, he would send pictures via WhatsApp asking us to be there at certain times to ensure the group could move forward. He didn’t stop for the whole day and really did his job with lots of care and passion. The tour itself was exactly as promised on the itinerary, we visited each stop and got to spend free time there as well as learn about each area from Andrew. My only criticism would be the drive back to Shinjuku took much longer than anticipated due to weekend traffic. This is in no way the fault of the tour or guide, but I would suggest to either avoid booking the tour on a weekend, or being careful to allow extra time after the tour before having anything else planned or you may not have enough time to do your next activity. Overall the tour was great value for money and we saw some amazing sites. I feel we got very lucky to have Andrew as our host. He really went above and beyond, even when our 3 year old had an accident, he was on hand to help and was very caring and respectful while helping.

Highly recommended day trip, even without Mt. Fuji - This trip was a tremendous experience and allowed me to visit several unique areas in a day. The English-speaking guide Kousei was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable about the areas visited. He packed a lot into the day and kept a large group on-time. It was delightful to find lunch ready prepared when our group arrived. Mt. Fuji was not visible at all but Harkone, Lake Ashi, the Harkone boat and cable car trips, and the volcano made up for it.

Saw Mt.Fuji so no regrets - Very happy Fuji-san decided to be out all day. We got to see Mt.Fuji from many different angles and all the way from base to the tippy top. But if we did not get to see Mt.Fuji then this trip would have been kind of a dud. In other tours I have taken the guide is normally spitting facts the whole time, our guide today just gave us like 5 minute blurbs before destinations. Then at the destination you just wandered around on your own. I feel like its a little bit of a missed opportunity to have been able to embrace more of the significance and culture of the areas we visited. Also the lunch place picked was not great. Would recommend bringing a bento. But if you just want to see Mt. Fuji. Some beautiful lake views. Pray at a shrine on the water. And eat sulfur cooked eggs to add some years on your life. Then fully recommend.

More time please - Read the ad carefully! It reads as though the cruise is part of the deal, one add even say the opportunity to visit the pirate ship but the pirate ship is the ship used for the cruise at an extra $10.70 Australian. Be prepared for a fast tour. A lot of us had trouble understanding our guide. Several of us on the bus were disappointed that we didn’t get more time at the end of the day in the souvenir shop. It is quite intensive and you do a lot in one day but it is speedy at each location with only 35 minute break at lunch.

Ok… I guess - Whilst Jack was a friendly guide and he did his best to make sure that we could enjoy as many activities as possible despite the weather, he was rushing through the very few bits of information that he provided. This tour is mostly self guided and the activities are shared with many other tour groups so they are very crowded. The arranged lunch offered by the tour company is ok but overpriced. If the weather is not good or foggy avoid as you will not see anything. Check Mount Fuji visibility before going
