Shinjuku Nishiguchi Shopping Street, situated in Nishi-Shinjuku 1-chome, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, is also known by names such as “Memories Yokocho,” “Yakitori Yokocho,” or “Pissing Alley.” Previously, it was commonly referred to as “Pissing Alley” and was home to around 300 stores.

In 2015, the Shinjuku Toho Building was developed as a complex featuring cinemas, restaurants, hotels, and more, on the site of the former Shinjuku Koma Theater and Shinjuku Toho Kaikan. The life-size Godzilla head, located on the 8th-floor terrace of the building, serves as a city landmark, greeting visitors to Kabukicho.
