Mt. Fuji and Shinkansen were unforgettable! - It was our second time enjoying this tour. First time was 4 years ago. Perfect and easy way to visit Mt.Fuji and Hakone. Of course, not enough time at Mt. Fuji. You need to hurry if you want to take many pictures and buy souvenirs. But it’s very comfortable to sit on the bus with AC and don’t think how to get there. We returned by Shinkansen. Kids loved it!

Very good - It was great trip full of interesting places to visit. Bottom of mt Fuji, ski ride, pirate boat lunch and bullet train back to Tokyo, probably wouldn't suit children and likey to not entertain teenagers either. I'd say a good couples trip, we were lucky with the good weather, but can imagine rain would absolutely ruin the day as all mostly outside and weather reliant for good views.

It was great - The tour to Mount Fuji was truly exceptional from start to finish. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel welcomed right from the moment we boarded the bus. The bus ride itself was comfortable and enjoyable, offering picturesque views along the way. Upon reaching Mount Fuji, everything exceeded our expectations. The itinerary was well-planned, allowing us enough time to explore and appreciate the breathtaking scenery. Whether it was the stops at scenic viewpoints or the informative commentary provided by the guides, every aspect of the tour was thoughtfully executed. The entire experience left us with wonderful memories and a deeper appreciation for Japan's natural beauty. We couldn't have asked for a better day trip. Thank you to everyone involved for making this tour such a memorable and enjoyable event.

Fun Filled Day - Tour was a packed day. There was just 25-30 hour per stop, but our group did well getting back on time. We were able to see Mt. Fuji, go on the gondola (though it was very foggy), and go on the cruise ship despite the finicky weather. I guess pieces of the tour do get cancelled due to the weather and we were informed that this might happen due to winds. Lunch was really good and our tour guides took good care of us. We took the bullet train back which was also a cool experience.

Good - We hit all of the stops in the itinerary. We were able to see Mount Fuji but the weather is the area changes on a dime. But by the time we get to Lake Ashi we couldn’t see it thru the fog. The lunch included was more of a buffet style and it was inside an onsen hotel. It was alright but you can’t really conveniently buy your own lunch on location if you decide not to have the included lunch. We ended with the Shinkansen ride back to Tokyo station. Overall it was an enjoyable tour and saves you from figuring the commute on your own from Tokyo.

Beautiful locations. Tight schedule - The locations that we went to were beautiful! I especially loved the restaurant with the lunch buffet. I would like to give this a 4 star rating, but we barely got to spend any time at each location,m (maybe 20-25 minutes) and this is because the itinerary is very tight. Some of the other groups on our tour were not mindful of the itinerary, and because they were always late to return to the meet up locations (sometimes 20 minutes late!) it greatly reduced how much time we could spend at each location. The leaders were very organized and prepared us well, but I think there needs to be a better plan for making sure people are on time, or have fewer items on the itinerary so that the schedule is not so tight.

Next time do a self guided tour - The booking process was a shambles. After accepting payment and issuing tickets, we were told the tour was full. Viator help desk should take out the name ‘help’ from their title. On being offered a spot for the next day, we hastily rearranged our itinerary. Unfortunately the bad weather came in and we never saw Mt Fuji or the edges of Lake Ashi (despite being on the lake!). No ropeway either due to high winds. No one can control the weather but poor service from Viator and HIS meant we missed out on the sights and wasted our money. The tour guide Yuji-san was excellent and tried his best to adapt the itinerary, but the HIS company should have a pre-arranged back up plan for poor weather conditions.

Overpriced and overrated. - A ten hour tour, of which eight hours were spent on the bus. Twenty minutes at Mt Fuji, forty for lunch, and a thirty minute cruise on a pirate ship. We skipped the cable cars etc. because we were running late due to traffic. Almost a total waste of a day and $130.
