Excellent food and service - May was very nice, friendly and knows her food! My son and I had a lot of tasty treats and enjoyed our time in the night market. May also gave us some tips of what else to see and do while.in Taipei. Would definately recommed!

Night Market Culture ABCs - Mavis Chen was wonderful. She taught you the customs and ways to handle yourself as a new person experiencing this very diverse culinary and night market culture. She took great photos and I.really liked the herbal tea she treats ypu to at the end of her tour. She gave me confidence to venture out the next night by myself.

Delightful experience! - First time in Taipei and there are so many night markets and so much street food to try. We were fortunate to have Mavis. She reached out ahead of time and also gave us MRT information on how to get to her. From the beginning, Mavis was a joy and full of information and helped us in 2 hours navigate this large market and try so many amazing tastes and bites. We could have done it on our own if we have more time in Taipei but even so, you would not benefit from having a local expert tell you what you need to try and what you are tasting. We tried 10 different food at least (bring cash to the market to pay vendors). Going to one with a guide will help you navigate the many other markets that Taipei offers. Mavis was delightful, accomodating, and just fun to hang with. She took us back to the right MRT station to get back to the hotel and took lots of pictures for us to remember the night. Highly recommend!

Great private tour of Shilin Night Market - Mavis was a great local guide. She showed us the best food stalls and we got to try a lot of what Shilin night market had to offer including scallion pancakes, stinky tofu, oyster noodle soup, fried ice cream, herbal tea, cabbage and pork buns, cold noodles, fried ice cream. It’s a very good introduction to Taiwanese food culture.

Shilin Night Market with Mavis is a must do, at the beginning of your trip! - Mavis shared local insight and knowledge that exceeded expectations. I was impressed with how many new things I learned that will help me enjoy the rest of my trip and when I return. Mavis also has a great demeanor, cheerful and easygoing she was able to create an experience for me I will not forget. Plus great photos of my tour!

Very helpful in navigating the market and choosing food - Ruby was a great guide. In addition to telling me about the market, she identified food and helped me order: stinky tofu kebob and oyster omelette and various dumplings. Yum.

Night market with a local - We had a really nice evening with Tony at the Shilin night market. This market is really big and can be overwhelming so it was great to go with a local who knows what to try and the best places to try it. We knew of a few things we wanted to try and Tony showed us the best places, and he also suggested some things we never would have tried on our own. We also just enjoyed chatting and learning a little more about life and food in Taiwan. Definitely recommend this tour if you're looking to get the most out of visiting a night market in Taipei!
