Perfect evening with Masa and Ko! - We had the best time with Masa and Ko and our family of 10. They are amazing people, so fun, with so much energy. We tried places that were hidden gems and learned so much about Japanese culture. The food was delicious, the company was amazing, and it was all around a magical evening. Thank you so much Masa and Ko, we hope to meet again on a future trip!!! A++++++++.

A faboulous introduction to the world to the Izakayas in tokyo - A fabulous introduction to the world to the Izakayas in tokyo with fabulous food, gracious hosts and I would thoroughly recommend this tour. Our guides were Chise and Dan. They were great fun and very informative. Above all the food surpassed our expectations from the amazing fish at the sushi restaurant to the mouht watering wagyu beef.

Izakaya Family Fun in Tokyo - Our guide was ShuHei and we had the most fantastic tour ever! The food was amazing, and drinks incredible. ShuHei was so gracious and helped us navigate the challenges of having 12 and 9 year old boys, and vegetarian mom. We had the best time and look forward to our next trip, and hope to have another night with ShuHei.

Ebisu Izakaya tour with Mariko FTW!!! - We did the Ebisu Izakaya tour with Mariko and it was excellent! Mariko is a local and we went to *actually local* restaurants with her. The menus had no English option and the majority of patrons at the places were clearly not tourists. The food and drink were great, but I reviewed them separately. The night ended with some delicious ice cream.
My wife and I had the same comment. If we lived in Tokyo, we'd want to be Mariko's friend, because she was so personable, knowledgeable, and honest about what it's like to live in Japan. It felt more like a cultural exchange than just a simple food tour.
One of the highlights of entire vacation in Japan!

A fantastic evening at the Tokyo underpass tour - We had a brilliant evening with Kazumi, doing the Tokyo underpass shared tour. We would highly recommend this to anyone new to Japan, as an introduction to different types of Japanese food. It was also a fantastic way to find the best local restaurants, that were reasonably priced. Kazumi was so warm, friendly and knowledgeable - it was lovely to spend an evening with her. Thank you for a brilliant tour!

Great experience - We did the food tour in Ebisu, Tokyo with Shuhei. He was an excellent guide - took us to some great places and tried a variety of Japanese food. One of the places, Kakitsubata, was so good we went again when we came back to Tokyo.

Awesome Izakaya Culinary Adventure 🏮 - We had a fantastic experience with Ko from Oishii Tours, which we booked through Kensington Tours. Ko took us to three unique izakayas—each with its own theme (seafood, yakitori, and an eclectic food hall)—and ended with amazing Japanese ice cream. He was energetic, gracious, and incredibly knowledgeable, with excellent English skills he began honing during his undergraduate degree in the U.S.
Ko gave us so much insight into Japanese food culture, table manners, and izakaya etiquette. He even helped us get the recipe for one of the dishes! Oishii Tours also provided a helpful pocket card with useful Japanese phrases. We came away feeling more connected to the culture and cuisine, and we’d absolutely tour with Ko again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Japan!

Unforgettable & Fun Food Tour with Seiyo! - Very grateful to have had a one-on-one experience for my husband and I’s first food tour. Seiyo was our guide for the evening and he is the best!!! He took us first to taste some sashimi, next stop was yakitori, last stop was Osaka inspired dishes. It was fun to try out different alcoholic beverages. We finished it off with ice cream. Seiyo was very knowledgeable on the food and culture and was able to inform us on many facts. Very fun experience and honestly felt like we made our first friend here in Japan. Thank you Seiyo and best wishes!

11/10 experience! - We enjoyed going to 3 different Izakayas and desert in Ebisu. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was amazing. Our guide, Seiyo was the best! He was very personable and knowledgeable. He gave us the history of Ebisu and the Izakayas, as well as local traditions and formalities while keeping it fun and entertaining. It felt like we gain a good friend by the end of the tour. We highly recommend Oishii food tours and especially if you enjoy it with Seiyo. Gochisousama!
