Highlights
  • Meiji Jingu Shrine - Meiji Jingu is a shrine which has the most worshippers in Japan and is one of the most popular sightseeing spots. Its vast temple is surrounded by greenery and is the city’s oasis which is enjoyable for both locals and tourists. Enjoy the spiritual atmosphere.
  • Takeshita Street - Takeshita Street / Omotesando:
Takeshita Street and Omotesando are both Japan’s leading fashion streets. Takeshita Street, the epicenter of youth culture, is filled with people all year round, with colorful and pop-up shops lined up in tight rows, and Harajuku’s cute culture overflowing. Omotesando will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020, and as one of Japan’s leading fashion streets, various fashionistas come and go. Come and see for yourself the city and its people that continue to spread trends!
  • Tsukiji Fish Market - Tsukiji fish market used to prosper between 1935 to 1983 as the largest wholesale fish market in Japan. It closed down in 2018 and moved to Toyosu but the historical land of Tsukiji is still appreciated by the locals. There are still many shops in this old market which are busy with tourists looking forward to eating the delicious seafood.
  • Tokyo Tower - Tokyo Tower was built in 1958 and is Tokyo’s symbol. It has a strong presence amid the crowded buildings, even in a city as large as Tokyo. Although the newer tower, Skytree, is a taller building than Tokyo Tower, people are still attracted to Tokyo Tower’s majestic appearance.
  • Senso-ji Temple - Sensoji is Tokyo’s oldest temple with the large red lanterns that have become the symbol of Asakusa. The gorgeous red buildings are worth seeing and the temple is a famous sightseeing place where a majority of people visit when they come to Tokyo. On the way to the main temple at Nakamise street, you will find a variety of stores that sell souvenirs found only in Japan. The area is always crowded with people, no matter the season.

Wonderful Guide - Touring Tokyo with Hidekia was like touring this fascinating city with an old friend. He arrived our hotel right on time. Within minutes of meeting him, we felt at home and comfortable with him. He was a wealth of information about the culture and history of Japan. I highly recommend him to any first time visitor to Japan, and even anyone making a repeat visit.

Tokyo City tour for first timers to the City - Very good tour which gave us a chance to get to know the Tokyo underground system as well as visit some of Tokyo's top tourist spots. Our guide, Yoshi, was very knowledgeable and gave us plenty great insights into Japanese culture and history, as well as being a great host. Would definitely recommend, especially for a first timer to Tokyo.

Trip around Tokyo - Meg, was awesome the experience was really great. She took us all over Tokyo and showed us a lot of the intricate details and history of tokyo. We really learned a lot about the subway system. The temples and shrines were excellent. The highlight of the tour was the restaurant we went to and had Okonomi Yaki. I highly recommend her.

Highly recommend the customizable tour - Toshi was an excellent guide. He helped us map out a tour that appealed to the entire family. He was so helpful and knowledgeable and he went above and beyond to make sure we got back to our hotel safely when the day ended in a thunderstorm. I highly recommend this tour - especially if this is your first trip to Japan.
