Sunrise at Mount Sinai - an awesome experience - Great experience seeing the sun rise at the summit. If you're planning to do this, keep in mind it is a mountain, and although the trail is straightforward, you'll have to ascend 2000ft at night sp careful consideration of footwear and clothing. Whilst you're walking, you'll be warm but as soon as you stop for a while (especially at the top) it will be cold so take warm clothing. You can hire blankets for 150 Egyptian pounds at the top. Our tour guides were friendly, helpful and experienced. Highly recommended!

Tough going but worth it in the end - Its hard work but the sunrise is worth it. We left hotel at 9pm and got back at 2pm the following day. Limited sleep, long coach journey and a 3-4 hour trek up the mountain in the pitch black / torchlight is not for the faint hearted. Its also very cold so dress up warm and consider paying the E£150 for a much needed blanket at the top. The wind is biting However the views of the sunrise and the walk back down in the daylight are spectacular. Monastery tour is a bit something of nothing. I'm not religious so maybe its just a bit lost on me and I was very tired by this point. Interesting enough to see but the highlight is the sunrise. Blink and you miss it as its over pretty quick so get up there in time and get a good spot for photos and travel prepared, drinks, snacks, warm clothes, good shoes.

Our experience contacted... - Our experience contacted Sun Tours Egypt was great. We have to highlight the professionalism and kindness with which we were treated at all times by the agency team and especially how they adapted to our needs (Thank you very much Mr. Mohamed! We really appreciate the conversations held on WhatsApp). We plan to return to Sinai soon, and I will definitely contact them again.

The transfer took a lot of time, the local guide in English is good, people are friendly, no money, but the pace is faster. The climb time is plenty, there is time to take lots of sunrise photos. There are 4 stops on the way, all things are charged, and the toilet will be charged for 10-50 euros. - Pick up at 20:10 at the hotel door (although the initial schedule was 21:30, it was actually arranged to pick up at 20:10 at the hotel door) 21:00 Change bus Continue pickup 22:00 Finally all the pick up is done 23:30 After the first stop (food and water available free of charge) 24:00 Last stop before climbing the mountain (to visit the artifacts to the toilet $1) 2:00 Arrival to the mountain entrance (travel agency transferred to two local guides) 2:10 Church Monastery There are chicks all along the way (heard that one ride is $20-30) There are stops along the way (we only choose four stops) 4:30 Arrival to final stop 5:10 Departure to Mount Sinai (winds super strong!) 6:00 Start waiting for sunrise A little cold 6:40 is out! Photograph enough 7:40 Finally going down the mountain. 8:50 Return to the Monastery 9:45 Get on the return bus 12:20 through a stop 14:00 Change bus to our hotel area 14:30 Return to the Main Road outside the hotel (we immediately go to eat and then head back to the hotel, followed by another Safari 5in1 package at 4pm) (Consultation and advice) 1. Pick up took two hours. If you are late, the bus may leave directly and will not wait for you. 2. Actual climb time: 2:00-4:30 (2.5hr), 6:50-8:50 (2hr). 3. The mountain climb is harder, and the team is faster. Climbing the mountain feels more comfortable to take 3hr, but it is best to get there early to take the best position for sunrise. The descent is comfortable! 4. On the road to Mount Sinai will pass through four stops, you can buy coffee, water, bedouin tea, baked candy, etc. 5. There may be local young people running to the toilet on the stand for a small fee (available for 10 yen) suggesting that you need a small amount of eggs with you. 6. The last stop is very close to the triangle, the wind is super big! We strongly recommend renting carpets 3. 7. It is recommended to prepare cookies, chocolate, otherwise the price on the mountain is high. Bedouin tea is $ 2-3 per cup, and the outside café is about $ 1. 8. Sunrise shooting time is abundant (with the camera can shoot the big view) 9. The monastery is open at 8:45am, so you can only visit it on return. The explanation time is only 20 minutes, I personally think the content is good, or maybe because the mountain climbing is tired, so I can't hear it. But I like the tone of the monastery.

Follow Moses …… - A very well organised tour from start to finish. A high fitness level is required to ascend the 7 kilometres to the summit before dawn.

Unique experience in a beautiful mountain world.world - Unique experience to climb the mountain at night. Good guidance and sufficient stopping possibilities. The planning to arrive at the sunrise on time is broad. Basically you go up as a group. Once you've come up, you can get a blanket for a small amount of money which will give you protection from the cold. After sunrise you walk down to the Catrina monastery in a beautiful mountain setting. What has disappointed me is the visit to the monastery. Too busy and too short.More a mandatory number as part of the excursion package. The drive from Sharm El Sheikh takes approximately 3 hours. It is good to pay attention to the type of transport and conform.

Amazing hike to Mt. Sinai - The excursion was really beautiful! We were picked up from our hotel at 8 pm, and we arrived at St Catherine's monastery around 1 am. Then, we hiked for about 4.5 hours, until the peak of Mt. Sinai. The distance is about 7 km, and the altitude difference 700 m. At the peak, we waited for about 1 hour until the sunrise at 6.30, and then we started our descent (which had to be done in 2 hours). At 8.50 we visited St Catherine's monastery (until 9.30). We opted to visit it independently, rather than follow the guided tour, so we had more time to see everything in our pace. Around 10 we started the way back, until 14.00 when we were dropped off somewhere near to our hotel. It was an amazing experience. We strongly suggest hiring a blanket at the last stop before the peak, and wearing very warm clothes, as the temperature there is around 0 degrees Celsius. We would also like to remark something that has already been emphasised by previous travellers but not been taken care of (and is the reason for the 4 stars, instead of 5). The mini bus driver who picked us up at the first day from our hotel (until we are dropped off into a big bus) was driving quite dangerously, and a lady felt the need to get off the vehicle, after having asked him several times to drive more carefully.

I found this experience... - I found this experience overall nice. However I did not understood everything was our guide was explaining and there was a little bit too much time waiting in the cold before we climb...

Provider-centred, not customer centred - Organisation is designed for staff/tour guide convenience. E.g. tour guide collect €10 entrance fee by cash on the bus, one by one. Definitely a waste of time for all travellers as the bus was parked somewhere for 20-30 minutes for this. What can’t you just put this on the trip fee? Or you can request the payment in advance. I am not paying for sitting on an overcrowded shuttle bus just for you to collect money. This is just one example.
