- People’s Square (Renmin Guang Chang) - Your tour guide will meet you at your hotel at 09:00 a.m.. Then, we will transfer to People’s Square by public transportation and start the highlight tour. Shanghai People’s Square is located at the very center of Shanghai and is the demarcation point of East Nanjing Road and West Nanjing Road. It is a flourishing place for people to look around. Before 1949, the area of Shanghai People’s Square and the People’s Park was used as a famous horse racetrack which was built in 1861, honored as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in Far East’. Visitors still can find the ruins for the former main building standing at the northeast part of the People’s Square. We will see many scenic spots around people’s square, such as the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall. Later, we will visit Shanghai Museum. - Shanghai Grand Theater - We will admire the facade of Shanghai Grand Theater. Shanghai Grand Theater is uniquely designed and beautifully shaped. It combines western and Chinese architectural styles perfectly. The white arched vault sets off glass curtain walls like a crystal palace. - Hotel Park Hotel Shanghai - Park Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Shanghai. It was the tallest building ever in Shanghai. Here is used as the central origin of Shanghai urban coordinate axis. Park Hotel is considered an architectural milestone that lends a touch of historic charm to the animated cityscape. Then, we will transfer to Shanghai Great World Amusement Park. You can enjoy yourselves at there. - Shanghai Great World Amusement Park - This building used to be the pinnacle of Night life in Shanghai many years ago. Da Shi Jie was the happening place in the foreign settlement area in Shanghai. Crowds flocked there to see the novelties and enjoy themselves. On the first floor they still have the “magic mirrors” which were brought over from the Netherlands many decades ago. Some of the shows still survive. From beautifully woven carpets in Xinjiang, to cave paintings in Ningxia, to a wide variety of skilled artisans showing off their handicrafts. Then, we will transfer to Pudong New Area, walk along Lujiazui Ring Bridge and visit the Shanghai Tower. - Pudong New Area - As a new and bustling district, Pudong offers visitors some of the most modern attractions, businesses, skyscrapers and shopping malls, all featuring the latest in entertainment, technology and fashion. We will walk along Lujiazui Ring Bridge which is good place to photograph skyscrapers. - Shanghai Tower - The new landmark of Shanghai, the tallest building in Shanghai with a total height of 632 meters. The 118th floor of the tower has a indoor observation deck which is the world’s highest indoor observation deck and called the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory’. Tourists are recommended to visit the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, and then take the express elevator to the 118th floor directly within only 55 seconds, its speed can reach 18 meters per second. Here, you have a bird’s-eye view of Shanghai. You will have time to stop and admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River on the 119th floor. We will visit the highest book store in China - Duoyun Books ‘Duoyun Books’ flagship store is located on the 52nd floor of the Shanghai Tower, at a height of 239m above ground. Overlooking Shanghai, visitors an nearly touch the blue sky and white clouds, while also enjoying a ‘garden in the sky’. With a design based on a Chinese landscape, the space contains bookshelves shaped like mountains and is divided into seven areas including those for books, exhibitions, cultural events and leisure areas. Walk along quiet alleyways, absorb the botanical beauty of a French-style park and admire the intricate facades of villas and apartments built in the early 20th century and discover the famous figures that have resided within. - Wukang Road - Wukang Road is only 1.17 km long. There are 21 outstanding city-level historical buildings and 22 district-level cultural protection relics. Each house and its detail show its stories and history. All of the buildings on the road are in European style, and while walking on Wukang Road you’ll get the sense that you have arrived in Europe. Wukang Building is the most famous building on Wukang Road. The building, shaped like a giant vessel, was the most famous English-styled building in Shanghai back in the 1930s. The Wukang Building was designed by Hudec, the well-know architect. - Hengshan Lu (Hengshan Road) - With a length of 2.3 kilometers (1.4 miles), Hengshan Road is a quiet and elegant passage between Xujiahui, the commercial center to the south, and Huaihai Road, the fashionable shopping street to the north in Shanghai Former French Concession. These two bustling areas were built by the French in the 1920s. Hengshan Road is lined with leafy trees and European-style constructions. Currently, many of its buildings are used as bars, making Hengshan Road a famous bar street. It is popular among overseas tourists and expats as it is close to the embassy area. - Fuxing Park - Fuxing Park, also called Gujiazhai Park. It is a unique park in Shanghai that maintains the French classic style, which is characterized by plaids and patterns. Now stays popular both for senior’s exercises in the morning. We will experience the colorful life of retirees. Then, we will visit Sinan Mansions and Sinan Books. - Sinan Mansions - A Nice Leisure and Entertainment Place Sinan Road is a famous French-style road in Former French Concession Shanghai. There are about twenty garden houses on both sides of the street that are representative of almost all the residential styles of Shanghai in the early 20th century. There are boutique hotels, apartment hotels and enterprise mansions. Moreover, there are a variety of restaurants, bars, coffee houses, tea houses, as well as a large number of clubs, convention centers, showrooms, cultural salons, designer shops and recreational parks. Stroll down this clean and romantic one-way street and enjoy the shade of the plane trees on both sides of the road. You can feel the peace in the middle of the crowded Shanghai. Then, we will take a cruise to enjoy the scenery along the Huangpu River. - Huangpu River - The Huangpu River divides two iconic but different Shanghai sights: high modern buildings in the Pudong area and 26 various buildings of different architectural styles on the west side. We will take a one-hour cruise along the Huangpu River to enjoy the beautiful scenery on both sides of the river including the Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower. Afterwards, we will transfer back to your hotel by private transportation. Wrap your memories and say good-bye in your hotel.
