Jin Mao Tower - The tour guide will meet guests at their hotel at 08:30 a.m. and then transfer them to Jin Mao Tower to begin the one-day Shanghai tour.
Jin Mao Tower, the fourth tallest building in Shanghai after the Shanghai Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, and Oriental Pearl Tower, is situated in the heart of the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong. Standing at 420.5 meters (approximately 1,380 feet), the architect skillfully blended elements of traditional Chinese culture with contemporary architectural styles, making it one of China’s most well-constructed buildings.
The 88th floor, the highest level, houses the tower’s observation deck, accommodating up to 1,000 people at once. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the scenery along the banks of the Huangpu River.
The tower boasts top-notch elevators, with two direct elevators traveling at a speed of 9.1 meters (nearly 30 feet) per second, transporting visitors from the ground floor to the 88th floor in just 45 seconds. - Shanghai Ocean Aquarium - Located in the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong District, adjacent to the renowned Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower, the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium is one of the largest ocean aquariums globally. It features the world’s longest submarine viewing tunnel, measuring 155 meters in length, offering visitors a delightful tour experience.
- Yuyuan Old Street - Historically known as Miaoqian Dajie, Shanghai Old Street is a historic business street that combines tourist attractions, shops, entertainment, and cultural exhibits. Its unique social appeal and rich commercial history stem from being home to the city’s earliest bank, gold shop, jeweler’s store, wine shop, and tea house. Exploring the old alleys of Shanghai offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the city’s traditional culture and experience authentic Shanghainese life.

Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Yu Garden is the largest of Shanghai’s ancient gardens, showcasing Ming and Qing architectural styles. Although small in size, it encompasses all the elements of a classical Chinese garden, including pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, and cloisters, each with distinct characteristics. The garden is divided into six areas, each with its own style, with the Grand Rockery at the center being the most famous sight. Visitors can walk to the Zigzag Nine Bend Bridge, which is believed to bring good luck, as the number nine symbolizes auspiciousness in Chinese culture. The bridge leads to the Mid-Lake Pavilion Teahouse, the oldest teahouse in Shanghai.
Yu Garden is closed for renovation from Sep. 19 to Oct. 31, but visitors can still explore Yuyuan Old Street. -
Nanjing Lu (Nanjing Road) - Known as the ‘No. 1 commercial street in China,’ Nanjing Road has long been a landmark of the city. Spanning 5.5 kilometers, it features over 600 shops, attracting an average of 1.7 million visitors daily. Shoppers can find everything from unique and affordable souvenirs to luxurious world-famous brands.
Riding the Dangdang sightseeing tram is an unforgettable experience. The slow-moving tram offers views of various stores, both old and new, as they pass by one by one. - Xintiandi - Xintiandi is a tourist destination that preserves Shanghai’s historical and cultural features while integrating Chinese and Western cultures. It is divided into northern and southern sections, with the south featuring modern architecture and the north showcasing Shikumen old buildings. This blend of Shikumen and modern architectural styles has transformed Xintiandi into a trendy pedestrian street in the city’s center, representing the popular and leisurely lifestyle of the city’s new generation. Outdoor cafés, bars, and romantic restaurants are abundant.
