• The Bund - The tour guide will meet the group at the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and then proceed to the Bund. The Bund is a renowned waterfront on the west bank of the Huangpu River and is considered a symbol of Shanghai. Visitors will admire 26 diverse buildings of various architectural styles, including the Peace Hotel (Heping Fandian), Shanghai Customs House, and Shanghai Pudong Development Bank. • Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Later, the tour will continue to Yu Garden, initially constructed in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty by Pan Yunduan as a retreat for his father, Minister Pan En, in his later years. Pan Yunduan began the project after not passing an imperial exam, but his appointment as governor of Sichuan delayed construction for nearly two decades until 1577. Despite its small size, Yu Garden encompasses all the elements of a classical Chinese garden, including pavilions, halls, rockeries, ponds, and cloisters, each with distinct features. The garden is divided into six areas, each with its own unique style.

Before 1949, the site of People’s Square and People’s Park was a renowned horse racetrack, built in 1861 and known as the ‘No.1 Racetrack in the Far East.’ Visitors can still find remnants of the former main building in the northeast part of People’s Square. The area features many scenic spots, including the new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Grand Theater, Shanghai History Museum, and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall.

• Shanghai Museum (Shanghai Bowuguan) - Situated in the center of Shanghai at People’s Square, the Shanghai Museum is a large museum dedicated to ancient Chinese art. The museum’s round dome and square base symbolize the ancient concept of a round heaven and a square earth. • Shanghai Tower - The Shanghai Tower, a new landmark and the tallest building in Shanghai, stands at a height of 632 meters. The 118th floor features the world’s highest indoor observation deck, known as the ‘Top of Shanghai Observatory.’ Visitors are encouraged to explore the exhibition hall on floor B1 first, then take the express elevator to the 118th floor in just 55 seconds, with a speed of 18 meters per second. From here, a panoramic view of Shanghai can be enjoyed. There will be time to admire the scenery on both sides of the Huangpu River from the 119th floor.
