This was a very good day... - This was a very good day tour to get familiar with the major tourist sights of Shanghai. Our guide, Tom, was very organized and knowledgeable and I would be remiss if I did not compliment our driver as well (the traffic is crazy).

Best of Shanghai is worth it! - There is a lot to see you get a wide ranging experience. It was like our own private tour. Well worth it! Wear comfortable shoes.

A history tour with amazing features - The history of the places we visited was amazing. Our tour guide Tom had an amazing memory for facts. A pity we couldn’t take in all the dates and facts. Needed a print out to go along with the many photos I took.

This was a great way to... - This was a great way to see the main sites in a day. While I don’t love getting shuttled around, it’s a must if you’re trying to squeeze things in. I particularly recommend it at the beginning of your trip to get your bearings and learn where you may want to return to. Good variety of stops. I was only unimpressed by the excessive silk sales push that they tout as a “silk tour”.

Tour was OK, just ok - Silk factory stop was unnecessary. Waste of time. Tour guide was ok. All in all tour was mediocore.
Best part was we had a nice driver who was always on time

Good Experience but poor Service - Rushed us in the morning and did not let us have our breakfast and were very rude. They went on to pick other customers for the trip who were late 20-30 minutes. We clearly advised that we do not consume beef/pork and yet we were served with pork.
Ended up not having lunch

time for tourist traps, but not to enjoy important areas - This was supposed to be a tour of “best of Shanghai”—a visit to major sites for visitors to see the city. Yet we wasted an hour at a factory store, that was not part of the description of the tour on the website. When I called the representative before booking, I was specifically told there would be no such “activities”. Also wasted an hour on a very mediocre sit-down lunch. The result was that there was no time to actually spend a little time to enjoy other places we were taken. (For example, we could have had time to *walk* at the Bund, which is why people go there—vs. be taken there, stand in one spot while the guide talked, and then be rushed away without experiencing it). Infuriating to lose 2 hrs of my only day to see Shanghai with a factory store and lunch at a tourist trap. Viator can and should do better by its customers
