This wholly guided bus excursion includes lunch and grants you admission to the Jade Buddha Temple, Shanghai Museum, the Bund and its History Museum, Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street, Fresh Water Pearl Gallery, a silk production center, and Xin Tian Di, the city’s lively entertainment hub.
- Shanghai Museum is closed on every Monday. You will visit M50 Art Zone instead if your tour is on Monday
- Yuyuan Garden is closed on every Monday. You will visit Yuyuan Bazaar and City God Temple instead, if your tour is on Monday.

Good experience - Tom was an excellent guide and very proud of his city. The lunch was delicious and very filling. It rained all day but that didn’t keep us from getting to see everything.

Great tour for first timer - Our guide Michael spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable about the back stories for all the stops along this tour. The lunch of Chinese food was also very good. I strongly recommend this tour for first timer in Shanghai to get the highlights of the city within a day and get well orientated for further self exploration.

Good overview of Shanghai - Good overview of Shanghai in general. Is a well organised itinerary. Could slow down a bit though for us to enjoy the ambience and sights.

Great ‘whistle stop’ layover tour, with an excellent guide, - Tom was an amazingly knowledgeable guide and filled our stopover day with the sights and sounds of Shanghai. It was a really great way to understand a little more about the history and culture of the city.
It is a whistle stop tour however and, for us, was probably too much to try to fit into one day.
The only thing that could have been improved was providing regular water stops (bottles in the van which I would happily have paid more for or the advice to bring lots with you. It was an incredibly hot day and we wrongly assumed that there would be opportunity to refill.

Nice experience - Nice and enjoyable tour; the downside is that is a bit rushed due to the many places you have to visit and barely have time to take pictures (expecially in the gardens)

Bad experience - Very poor service from the tour operator , Shanghai is very hot during the summer and doing the tour with a vehicle with bad Air Conditioner was unacceptable it seemed that the guide was in a hurry not giving us enough time to enjoy the tour , with other companies that offer the same service i think is time to change , this was the second time in less than 10 days that Viator did wrong and we didn't get the value for what we paid for.

No smpathy - Through no fault of mine I was unable to participate with this tour. My luggage missed my connecting flight. By this time it was less than 24 hours before the tour started. I managed to send an email at around 5pm asking if I could change the date bur the email went unanswered. Later I had contact with someone who rang to confirm my participation. They said minimum 24 hours notice and no refund. Just my bad luck. Tour representative suggested I participate in the clothes I had been wearing for the last 48 hours and hope that my luggage would be at my hotel at the completion of the tour. In the end my bags showed up 65 hours after arriving. I missed a 2nd tour as well
