A wonderful tour of the Jewish museum in Shanghai - We had a wonderful tour with Mason primarily of the Jewish museum in Shanghai. The museum is a real gem, recently renovated and enlarged, and beautifully tells the story of the 20,000 Jews who were protected from the Nazi death camps in Shanghai during the war. Mason did a great job explaining what life was like then for these transplanted Jews and made it even more special with the stories of his grandfather who lived in the ghetto with the Jews. A very worthwhile and inspiring tour while you are in Shanghai.

Must see museum of Jewish history and refugees in Shanghai. Mason was great as our guide. - Very interesting museum. Learned a lot about China and about Europe in our visit. Mason was incredible. He is very familiar with the museum and the history. He also let us take our time in the museum to explore the photographs and artifacts at our own pace. Great tour and fantastic guide. Thank you.

A fantastic introduction to Shanghai and it's Jewish Community. - Went on a solo tour with Miss Sunny Xie, she had an excellent repetoire of information during this tour about the nature of the Jewish community and it's life in Shanghai and how it grew. This includes some local heroes and personalities. A really very interesting tour with translations in both English and Chinese. Miss Xie is very enthusiastic about the subject she presents and also took me on a walking tour to further explore the streets and lives of the Jewish community that came to Shanghai. A very supportive person with transport and directions being my first time going to this museum in Shanghai. I would strongly recommend this tour for others considering. As a teacher the museum couldn't be more helpful with information and contact details for future trips.

Shanghai History not to be missed - Sunny our guide on this private tour of the Jewish Ghetto and the Bund included a detailed visit of the Shanghai Jewish Refugee Museum, the ghetto area, the park dedicated to the stateless refugees and then the bund was truly wonderful. Sunny is knowledgable and patient allowing us time to read and discuss exhibits within the museum. At the Bund she pointed out many of the historic buildings, their different architecture and took us to the Fairmont Peace Hotel, the original office of Walter Sassoon a Jewish Refugee. Sunny arrived punctually at our hotel to pick us up and we truly had a wonderful 3-hour tour. I highly recommend this tour and this guide.

Incredible - Our tour guide Aron was truly fabulous, his wealth of knowledge and history was beyond exceptional. I had a relative who came to Shanghai from Europe and to really understand what she lived through was a cathartic experience. We met the Museum Director and felt his passion and commitment to this time in History. If you are Jewish or interested in this time capsule of the past this is a MUST do tour.I highly recommended this tour .
