- Zhujiajiao Ancient Town - Meet your knowledgeable guide at your hotel lobby. After one hour driving, you will start your exciting sightseeing tour from Zhujiajiao water town. It’s the best-preserved water town in the area with history over 1700 years. There are old bridges, antiquated architecture and bubbling streams. You can wander along the canal, stroll around the old lanes, visit few houses with gardens. Later, enjoy a relaxing boat riding on the canal to see beautiful surrounding. Don’t miss out the opportunity to take some fabulous pictures.
Revitalize yourself with a delicious lunch in a local restaurant where you can have some local delicious dishes.
- Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - In the afternoon, you will go back to Shanghai city, and visit Yuyuan Garden, a very ancient and well-preserved garden with the history of 400years old. You will see the stylish Chinese pavilion and authentic old architectures. Or you will have an alternative option to visit the famous Jade Buddha Temple instead(Yuyuan Garden closed on every Monday).
- The Bund (Wai Tan) - Then, continue to the Bund where you will see amazing city skyline, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center Shanghai Tower, Shanghai Tower and colonial buildings along the Huangpu River. It surely lights up your whole trip in Shanghai.
- Shanghai Tower - From the Bund, you will visit Shanghai Tower (632 meters), the highest building of China. You will have a panoramic view of the whole city with a 360 degrees dimension from the observatory.

The package includes an authentic Chinese lunch in the water town, boat ride fees, entrance charges to Shanghai Tower, and the services of a private guide and driver.

A Memorable Adventure w/ Blair - From the first introduction, Blair introduced herself (and Cheng) and quickly humanized herself as a relatable person and hospitality professional — who loves touring foreigners visiting the fast paced, modern city. She transported us from towering sites above the city (Shanghai Tower)— to majestic gardens once reigned under family dynasties (Yu Garden) — and even drove us onto charming water towns (Zhujiajiao) for history, local cuisine, and a memorable water taxi ride.
At each point along the way, Blair naturally and effortlessly connected us everywhere we set out to visit — and relish during our time in Shanghai. Having personally traveled here before, of which I saw some of these notable sites, being able to experience again under her care as our docent truly enlivened the visits and imparted knowledge that only a passionate tour guide can provide.
Under Blair (and Cheung’s) care, we never opened a door, purchased any tickets, paid any tabs, or searched for knowledge (even how to use Alipay or DiDi while in Asia — which I highly suggest). This made the difference and for that, highly recommend, as you look to craft your memorable voyage to Shanghai for a one-of-a-kind travel experience.

Great experience - Snow was an amazing and knowledgeable guide on this tour of Shanghai city and a nearby water town! The transportation was prompt and high quality. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants a mix of city and of a more tranquil, beautiful town!

Amazing Tour! - We had an amazing time exploring and learning all about Shanghai with Snow, our tour guide. A highlight was the visit to the Water Village - what a beautiful spot! Great tour, exceptional host....book it! - Another great day with Caroline...what I mean is that we loved her so much from our Suzhou tour two days prior that we requested her again and Alana came through and granted our wish. Check that review too, if interested.
Again, not to be repetitive, but another great day with one of the best guides ever. She's quite amazing with all that energy and joy. We visited all the locales on the itinerary and even a couple that were not. All were interesting and fun to see and learn about. Caroline is a wealth of information. This is a great tour on it's own merits, but with Caroline, the tour becomes exceptional. When in Shanghai, for any tour, she is now our 'go to' guide. Best wishes...and we will see you again soon.

Shanghai and Water City - We visited the Yu Garden in Shanghai, then the Water City and the French Consession. a very delicious and rich original Chinese lunch was included. Our guide, a young woman named Snow, was very nice and competent and explained everything in detail to us. there was a lot of supplementary information about the destinations and the background and about Chinese history. Also the driver was very nice and drove very safely, the vehicle was large and very comfortable.
All in all a very nice and successful tour, highly recommended!

I did a solo tour with... - I did a solo tour with Caroline and she was very nice. The tour was very informative and fun. We also had a delicious meal during the tour. The driver was also great, the car was nice and comfortable.

Great rainy day in Shanghai - We had a great time today with Snow taking us to Zhujiajiao water town and around Shanghai landmarks. She spoke great English and gave us detail explanations on the different places we were able to visit. Our tour was on a very rainy day, but we still had a great time with Snow.

Great tour by a local - Snow was wonderful and very knowledgeable. She is native to Shanghai (which is rare) and goes out of her way to show you the highlights of the city and the village. The pace of technology and development is breathtaking in the area yet the gardens and village give you a view to the past. Mr. Shen was a wonderful driver (especially given traffic is especially bad on Sunday day of the tour) and provided seamless coordination and logistics with Snow. Her ability to provide the history and the small details that really provide a in-depth local perspective. I was in Shanghai for work and my colleagues (all locals) were impressed by the info that Snow had provided. Highly recommend.
