Galapagos tours on the La Quinta yacht - It was an amazing adventure provided by Metropolitan tours on the LaPinta. From our initial contact with Melissa to get it organized, through the guided activities and excellent crew,we were impressed. It’s a trip of a lifetime and worth going on this luxury yacht. I highly recommend

Wonderful tour with La Pinta - We toured with Yacht La Pinta and also took the half-day tour of Quito the day before. Our experience was superb, and I highly recommend Metropolitan Touring. Melissa organized things for us, promptly answering all our questions and numerous emails. Last minute, my wife wanted to know if the cabins come with hair dryers (they do), and Melissa was quick to answer so we didn’t have to take a dryer with us. The guides for both the city tour and the Galapagos were well informed, friendly and considerate. Our Galapagos guide David was perfect for the role, mixing expert knowledge of nature with humor, banter and concern for us. The Metropolitan organization was first rate: everything ran on time, all the equipment worked, and the cabins were cleaned regularly. The food was tasty and we made friends with the other couples at our table. I don’t understand why I didn’t gain weight. Definitely worth the money.

Ecuador Touring! - This is a great tour company. We did the La Pinta Galápagos island tour, Mashpi lodge, Finch bay, internal flights and transfers with them. Specials thanks to Maria who helped us out along every step including reserving exceptional dinners at Finch Bay and Casa Gangotena. Thank you!

Amazing sightseeing and learning experience, smoothly and professionally managed - Metropolitan responded promptly to our initial queries, and Camila found just the right trip to fit our needs and budget. Communications prior to the trip were very helpful and responsive. Transfers and all logistics were handled smoothly, so we could just relax and be taken care of. The accommodations, facilities, meals and everything aboard La Pinta Yacht were fabulous beyond expectations. And of course the sightseeing on the various islands was beyond amazing – a wonderful variety of tortoises, birds, fish, sea lions, iguanas, crabs…even insects. The activities (3-4 daily) were varied and well organized to keep us active while giving adequate breaks between – including scenic walks, snorkeling, kayaking, and glass-bottom boat. The guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and responsive to questions, and we learned a lot through the walks and evening presentations. The crew members were friendly and eager to please. And we had wonderful conversations with our interesting and varied fellow participants…and remain in contact with some. Wonderful experience all around!

Starting 2024 with an incredible Galapagos expedition about Yacht La Pinta - My son and I spent about 10 days in Ecuador this New Years. I started the process by discussing with Melissa at Metropolitan about my needs and what I was looking for and she more than delivered! She was extremely helpful and worked with my schedule, especially since this was so close to school starting up again. We ended doing 2 days in Quito, then 5 days aboard La Pinta, followed by 2 days in the Mashpi Reserve. The entire experience, from booking, traveling, transfers, dining, everything was executed perfectly. Everyone involved in this experience was incredible. I could not have imagined a better experience. After two days in Quito, we boarded La Pinta to start our Galapagos Adventure. The staff aboard La Pinta was exceptional, as was the food. We especially loved all of the animal "roommates" we'd find in our cabin after each excursion. Whenever we got back from an excursion, the first thing my son would do is rush to the cabin to see what fantastical creations awaited us inside. All of the guides that accompanied us were extremely attentive and engaged. My son had a great time asking questions and getting involved. After leaving La Pinta and making back on land, we headed to the highlands into the Mashpi Reserve cloud forest. What an incredible place! Again, food and staff were exceptional and our guide was amazing. I cannot believe how well he was able to spot creatures, both day and night. We did a night hike to look for frogs and boy, did we find them. The highlight was being able to see a glass frog in person. On our last day, we did a river hike, which was quite fun. We got to "shower" under a waterfall and wade through thigh-high water. Overall, this was an incredible experience for my son and me. Metropolitan's handling of all logistics and internal travel/transfers made this trip extremely easy for me as I didn't have to think about anything other than having a good time. Everyone at Metropolitan or affiliated with them, from the booking process, the staff onboard, the drivers, the reserve staff at Mashpi, was incredibly helpful and attentive. Yacht La Pinta was probably the perfect size--not too big and not too small. The boat was clean and the cabins spacious. We also enjoyed getting to know the other guests on the boat and hopefully made some new friends.

Exceptional service and intimate experience up close with the wildlife/marine life - The best part of our trip was the knowledge of the naturalists and the attentiveness of the staff and crew. The food was exceptional and varied. A new fresh juice and a cocktail of the day! We never had the same meal twice. Going with a small group made every excursion special and intimate. We learned more during those 5 days than I had in years. It was both educational and fun. The ship was pristine and well maintained. We felt safe and our accommodations were spacious and luxurious.

Incredible Galapagos Experience! - My family of 5 adults had the perfect Galapagos experience on the La Pinta. Our trip was fantastic, the ship immaculate and well appointed, the staff incredibly warm and engaging, and the naturalists knowledgable, approachable and excellent guides to take us through the islands. Metropolitan Touring did a great job with all our logistics and arrangements, there was never an issue and it all went seamlessly from landing in Quito to the end when we departed Ecuador. We were well taken care of, pampered and yet allowed to have as much personal space and time as we desired. I highly recommend Metropolitan Touring and the MY La Pinta!

Unacceptable cabin with a foul stench - The tour our family recently embarked on was, in almost every aspect, an incredible experience that would have effortlessly earned a perfect 5-star rating from me. The itinerary was thoughtfully planned, the staff were attentive and courteous, and the activities were engaging and enjoyable. However, there was one glaring issue that significantly marred our overall experience and left an indelible stain on what should have been a flawless trip – the unbearable stench that permeated our cabin. From the moment I stepped into our bathroom, I was greeted by an overpowering odor that was unmistakably reminiscent of a public restroom. The foul smell seemed to suggest the bathroom was situated directly atop a septic tank. Initially, I held onto the hope that this was a temporary issue that would be swiftly resolved, as it was clearly unacceptable by any standard, let alone in a hospitality setting. Unfortunately, my optimism was misplaced. The repugnant odor persisted throughout our stay, fluctuating in intensity but never completely disappearing. There were moments when it was merely unpleasant, but more often than not, it was so overpowering that it was almost unbearable. The stench was so pervasive that our children, who were staying in an adjacent room, refused to enter our cabin without covering their noses in disgust. On the second day, I contacted the reception desk to report the issue. A cabin attendant promptly arrived and attempted to mask the smell with a copious amount of deodorizer spray. However, this only served to exacerbate the problem. The combination of the original foul odor and the artificial fragrance of the deodorizer created an even more nauseating stench that was eerily similar to what one might experience in a poorly maintained public restroom. Frustrated and desperate for a solution, I escalated the matter to the manager on the third day. He assured me that an engineer would be dispatched to "fix" the problem, implying that he acknowledged the issue and believed it could be resolved. However, when we returned to our cabin later that day, I found that nothing had changed. The only difference was that the deodorizer smell was even stronger, and a scent diffuser had been placed on the sink. At that point, it dawned on me that this was not a new problem. The crew was undoubtedly aware of the issue, and I could not have been the first passenger to complain about it. The stench was simply too overwhelming for it to have gone unnoticed. And if it were a simple issue that could have been fixed, they would have done it already. The realization that the ship's management had knowingly assigned us to a cabin with such a severe issue was deeply troubling. It was a blatant disregard for passengers' comfort and well-being, and it left me feeling cheated and disrespected. The otherwise amazing tour was marred by this one significant issue. The persistent and unbearable odor in our cabin not only caused us significant discomfort but also left me with a sense of disappointment and frustration at the ship's management's lack of transparency and disregard for our experience.
