Kenai Fjords Cruise!! - We took the 7.5 hour Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise and it was absolutely amazing. We saw everything we could ask for and more. The highlight of our tour however was spotting the AK16 pod of killer whales. Captain Tanner was super informative and took the time to talk with us when able. He truly made tour trip memorable. I would highly recommend Major Marine Tours if you are making a stop in Seward. 10 out of 10 Experience!!

Take your motion sickness med if you even think you may be sick!! Otherwise the glaciers are incredible - We saw humpback and otters. Then watch the glaciers crash down into the pacific ocean. Was raining off and on, windy, after getting out of the bay into pacific ocean things got wild! People were sick, the staff should just pass out white bags to everyone, instead they watched the passengers and ran to them with those bags!!

Great glacier and sea life cruise in May - This cruise provided the full glacier and sea life experience we had hoped for while at the Alaska coast including close encounters with the glacier and whales. The ship was large enough to handle any ocean swells we experienced and provided a stable ride. We were especially impressed with the attentiveness to the crew to the passenger's needs throughout the cruise.

Glad We Did It - What a day! Can’t rave enough about the crew and the captain. Friendly, helpful and overall lovely staff. Captain was pleasant and informative. Lunch was surprisingly good and we appreciated the hot coffee throughout the day, as well as the binoculars we were able to use. We saw humpbacks, puffins, orcas, bald eagles, sea lions, sea otter, kettlewikes (sp?), Dall porpoises- and a glacier calving! Weather didn’t cooperate and it was very rainy and cold on the decks. Rough seas made several passengers seasick. Take Dramamine! Even if you think you won’t need it. One final note- dress warm and be prepared for rain. The cabin is heated but the doors open frequently for passengers moving in and out of the cabin and it was very chilly inside.

Great kid friendly experience - Very kid friendly tour and they allow plenty of time for viewing glaciers and also wildlife. There were a lot of stops to view different kinds of wildlife and the captain and crew were very knowledgable. The toilets were clean and they also have complimentary binoculars available. They also have a junior deckhand activity for kids, which is great to keep them engaged.

Full Day Cruise- Kenai Fjords National Park Cruise - Excellent tour! We saw so much wildlife, whales, bear, mountain goats, seals, sea lions. The Captain and staff were amazing and gave plenty of opportunities for everyone to see the wildlife. Communication was excellent. We were concerned about making it back to our ship in time and they actually called our ship and had a bus waiting to take us to our ship! Incredible. Best customer service on any excursion we’ve been on.

Disappointed in Boatding & Seat Selection Process - I was excited to take this tour and even a rainy day (common here) didn't hamper my enthusiasm. However, my wife and I stood out near the ramp in the rain first in line hoping to secure good indoor seats. Did we get to go first or even pick out our own seats? Of course not. A wheel chair bound person was taken on first - which I had NO PROBLEM. Totally fine waiting for them to be loaded. However, a group of about 40 people were then escorted onto the boat ahead of us and we were told they were part of some tour group. So we got more and more soaking wet while waiting to be allowed on the boat (remember, we were the first in line). Finally we were told to proceed. Got it side and found out they had assigned seating with no explanation as to the way that was determined. Since I had booked my tickets months in advance, I would have expected decent seats. Instead, we were seating at the front of the boat in the middle of the deck - not next to any windows at all. The crew were very accommodating in showing points of interest and helping find good viewpoints of birds, marine life, and glaciers. That's the only reason I rate them as 3 stars. Their boarding process and seat selection made the almost $550 paid for this trip not worth it. I did tip the on board staff as they were very good in their roles. But did not feel like a valued customer in how we were treated before and as we were boarding and seated.
