Great memories - The entire trip ,right from the start. The captain backed the boat out of a sardine birth. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the whole area we were in. His boat handling skills are 2nd to none. The crew was courteous and professional. The fresh cookies were a very nice touch. All in all it was a very engaging experience. I look forward to going again. Thank you for a wonderful day. Stay safe and healthy.

Wonderful tour company - We were a party of 5 adults and took this tour April 2nd. We had a fantastic time on this tour. The captain was phenomenal and the staff was incredible as well. On the boat as well as in the store and check in. Lunch is served early in the cruise as well as a warm cookie later. We had perfect weather and saw everything that was mentioned except the whales but that was a long shot so early in the season. The only things they don’t offer is assigned seating so get there early for the line if possible. Very happy with this tour company.

Great wildlife and landscape viewing - This was such a fun and educational experience. We learned a lot about the wildlife and the landscape from the captain and crew. They were all experienced and knowledgeable, and if someone asked them something they didn’t know, they would go find out and come back with an answer. The captain knew just the right spots to go to for us to see as much wildlife as possible in late March. We saw porpoises, resident orca wales, sea otters, harbor seals, sea lions, bald eagles, dall sheep and one ‘stray’ humpback whale. He stayed in an area long enough to have multiple sightings and let everyone get their photos. Lots of interesting landscape information. So worth the money!

A Nice Tour, Some Growing Pains - We had a nice trip on the Tanaina. It wasn't overly impressive, but still early enough in the season that the animals are a little hard to come by. The narration on the boat was hard to understand, and the food wasn't anything to write home about (I found a large piece of plastic in my lunch, and the chicken nuggets were about 5 different sizes ranging from dime-sized to average). It was cold and windy even though the sun was out, but we anticipated that, so make sure you bring layers, gloves, and a hat. Also, bring things to keep your kids entertained - the animals don't always cooperate, so you'll want to have something (playing cards, books, coloring pages, etc.) to keep them occupied during the slower moments. (also, bring your own snacks in case you wind up with plastic wrappers *in your food*)
