Worth every penny. Recommended - Like a private tour of places we would not have found on our own. Great food and drink quality and variety. Guide friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Thank you for a truly lovely evening.

Great wine and food tour with Chef Karl! - We had a fantastic tour with Chef Karl (and Milou). Good wine, food, and conversation. Karl has cooked for some very famous people and was also very knowledgeable about food and wine. This was the best food/wine tour I've ever done and everyone in our group enjoyed it. Would recommend this!

The BEST Food and Wine Tour in Seville - Chef Karl and Milou were absolutely amazing guides for our first activity upon visiting Seville. I've been on many food and wine tours, but there was something extraordinary about having a guide who is an experienced chef. It was an experience of sophistication and fun. Chef Karl is quick-witted and knowledgeable, sharing stories, knowledge, and opinions that combined for an unforgettable night of food and wine that my whole family agrees was the highlight of our trip. I can't recommend him enough!

Amazing tour and guide (and guide pup); THE BEST! You will not regret this tour! - We were a group of 7 Americans ( a family) and we were all in agreement that this is the best tour we did while we were in Spain (we did around 10, 2 others were also food tours).
I have personally done food tours in Osaka, Rome, Paris (different company), New Orleans, Portugal, and on this trip also toured Malaga and Sevilla on food tours with different companies. THIS WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST FOOD TOUR I'VE EVER DONE.
Chef Karl was attentive, sharp, a wealth of knowledge, and communicative before and after the tour (sent us multiple family photos I did not know he had taken - and how valuable is that to have some nice candid family photos with everyone). He taught us so much about the food and wine in Spain. We loved just listening to his stories and the history he provided. He told us about a Brownie recipe he made that may have been the original Brownie but did not have actual measurement units but think things like "pinch" or "as many eggs as your chicken flock lays that day." It was just obvious he was an expert.
I wish I could have Karl on every food Tour to teach me about local cuisines.
Now to the food, everything we ate was exceptional. We felt that every dish we tried was worthwhile and really special. The wines that Karl picked to pair with every dish were also amazing!
I noticed some reviews as I write this that were written recently and may have deterred me from booking this originally had they been there at the time. They are not even close to reflective of the experience we had as a family. We had multiple sherry's and an exceptional Cava that we actually went to a couple of liquor stores to try and buy after to take home (we couldn't find it though).
We are, as I said Americans, southern in fact, and I would describe us as "eaters." We clean our plates and not one of us left hungry. Also, the cheesecake dessert was to die for (which everyone got, did not have to share, and was paired with a sherry!!!). The garbanzo spinach dish we also got individually portioned and did not share. I don't remember having to share anything other than at the first stop. At the first stop (rooftop bar) we shared per each pair/2 people a fair sized cheese plate (16 triangular slices of manchego/different cheese), and a bowl of beer nuts/snacks for 2. This was all at the first stop, we continued to eat and eat after this.
I know this is a tour/experience my family and I will talk about/reference for the rest of our lives/every Christmas holiday.
If I go to any city with the chef tours, I plan to book a food tour. The other tour we did in Seville was not even close (nice experience but not even in the same realm).
Thank you Karl and Milou!

Outstanding tour - Incredible tour with Karl and Milou, learned a whole lot of information and anecdotes. Very witty man with great sense of humor and very knowledgeable person whether it be on local cultures as well on culture in general. I recommend without a glimpse of hesitation.

Expect the unexpected - Part of the reason I took the train from Malaga was for this tour. I had taken Chef PJ's wine tour in Paris with this company and had the time of my life. This is yet another outstanding tour from the Chef Tours.
I invited friends, and we sold out the night. Six guests maximum. When you see the tours of 15 people loping around a guide trying to hear, you will appreciate the small group size even more.
I lived in Seville last winter and took a few food tours. Tortilla, Churros, Jamon tasting, lovely guides, but paint by the numbers as far as the food goes. This was not that. Expect the unexpected.
For the wine, white, red, sherry, sangria and cava, and plenty of it, it is never forced but generous. Our chef was easy to recognise, knowledgeable, and a great storyteller, and he came with the cutest service dog. I cannot imagine Chef Karl without Milou, nor can I imagine Milou without the Chef. They are one tourism unit.
The first stops were not too far, and then we had a good 15-minute stroll for our dessert with the cava. I lived here for 6 months and did not recognise all the dishes.
Passionate, Entertaining and Funny!. Ask him about Drew Brees if you are an American Football Fan.
This was the highlight of the trip.

À ne pas manquer ! Don’t miss it 🥰 - As a Frenchwoman I know wine and prefer Bordeaux above all others, but my friends chose this tour and I agree to taste Spanish wine. This was the highlight of our trip, the tour is in English and we discovered so many places that I never would have found. The big bonus was meeting Milou, the most adorable dog who accompanies the Chef Karl on every tour unless you have allergy. The croquettes of the day are the best. Chef Karl is delightful and has a big brain filled with much information.

An Incredible Evening for Food and Wine lovers - I was already in Seville with my friends when I got the email that the Chef Tours was expanding into Seville. I had taken their Paris tours, and they were terrific, so we jumped on the advance offer.
What an incredible night. We took a tour with another company that gave us four small bites of food. It was okay, but this tour was 1,000 times better.
Chef Karl Wilder is an excellent host passionate about the food, wine and country. We met on the steps of a church, and he had his little dog in tow. The dog was welcomed everywhere. This is common in Spain to see dogs in restaurants, so you need to advise if you have a dog allergy. At every stop, the little guy jumped on his lap. Adorable.
We had sherry, multiple wines, cava and an abundance of food, not just Tapa.
The area has a lot of history, which we learned in the context of the food, and the Arabic influence on the area was pointed out, including the food rebellions by the Spanish.
Ham and pork are ubiquitous in this culture, but he managed to make our one vegetarian happy, though I would suggest the tour is designed for omnivores.
This was a highlight of our trip. I cannot suggest it more highly.
Well done Chef Tours!

Not worth the money - My husband and I, have lived in Europe for 20 years, are seasoned travelers, and found one of the best (and fun) ways to learn about a city is through the wine and food tours. This, however, is the first time that I was disappointed and can not recommend this tour. Before deciding to write this review, I contacted cheftours.com to give them the courtesy (and opportunity) to explain or apologize. Instead, when I mentioned that the tour did not include dinner, dessert, cava, or sangria - they blamed me. I was told I should have said I wanted more food, as if I suspected the few shared tapas we had was all that would be provided. They also said, that the cava and sangria was not part of the description. I am attaching a description from their own website. For what we received, it was way overpriced. Chef tours blamed Viator for taking over 50% of the costs. The value is the problem. They clearly decided to skimp on food.
As a positive, I can say the wine selection was excellent and plentiful, and chef Karl seems like a nice guy. However, he is still new to the area and is just learning Spanish.
In summary, I would not recommend this tour.

Overpriced and not Advertised Correctly - This tour is advertised as “a deep dive into the food and wine” of Seville that “will venture beyond the Tapas/Tinto.” It is projected to be a 3 1/2 hour tour that includes a “journey through the city’s most esteemed wine bars and gourmet restaurants”. Unfortunately, that did not happen.
The tour included a small bar (where we had a glass of wine and a few pieces of cheese), two tapas restaurants (neither one was “gourmet”), and a short visit (that included a glass of wine) to the rooftop of a nice hotel. At the Tapas bars, we drank a glass of white, a glass of red, and a glass of sherry. In terms of tapas, we had some gazpacho, a couple of croquettes, a small portion of some raw vegetables, and a small bowl of spinach and garbanzos (which was shared between two people). There was no sangria, cava, dinner, or desert (see attached photo of what was advertised).
For the cost of the tour, it should have been a lot better. Additionally, the tour itself should match the description provided. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this tour unless the company makes some changes ensure what is advertised is actually delivered.
Personally, I think it’s a scam. Do some research before booking this one. You may find an inflated resume as the main draw.
