The Call of the Smokies

As a former professional athlete turned travel writer, I’ve experienced my fair share of adrenaline-pumping adventures. From skydiving over the Swiss Alps to base jumping in the canyons of Utah, I’ve always been on the hunt for the next thrill. So when I heard about the Legacy Mountain Zipline in Sevier County, I knew I had to experience it for myself. The promise of soaring through the skies with breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains was too tempting to resist.

My fiancée and I packed our bags and headed to Pigeon Forge, eager to add another exhilarating chapter to our book of adventures. As we drove up Legacy Vista Drive, the anticipation built with every twist and turn. The mountains loomed large, their majestic peaks shrouded in mist, and I could feel the familiar rush of adrenaline coursing through my veins.

My fiancée, ever the daredevil, was in her element, laughing and cheering as we flew through the air.

One of the highlights was zipline number 6, which soared over a cabin, offering a bird’s-eye view of the world below. It was here that Will, with his mischievous grin, played a prank on my fiancée, pretending I had fallen. Her laughter echoed through the trees, a sound that will forever be etched in my memory.

As we completed the final zipline, I felt a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. The Legacy Mountain Zipline had delivered on its promise of spectacular views and unforgettable memories.
