Embark on a exploration journey today to one of Borneo’s numerous caves. Gather in the hotel lobby and set out from Kuching City to Lobang Batu, with the briefing at the village community hub. Essential caving gear, such as a helmet and basic refreshment, will be distributed here. Once safety & gear briefings are concluded, we embark on a 45-minute trek, navigating through some of the region’s most beautiful farmlands to the mouth of the cave. We then delve deep into the cave whose ceilings rise as high as 35 meters, filled with large calcite formations and a diverse array of cave inhabitants. This route takes us one kilometer into the mountain, traversing several chambers before turning back. A lunch packet will be provided. Half a kilometer around the mountain, we access a second cave via a river. While swimming is not obligatory, a risk-free route is available for the less adventurous. Less than 200 meters inside this cave lies a small but mesmerizing chamber.
