A perfect tour for lovers of photography, local culture and off-the-beaten-path places. I recommend without hesitation! - A unique and unforgettable photo experience in Seoul
This tour was amazing from start to finish. I loved walking along Cheonggyecheon Stream at sunset , a peaceful spot in the heart of the city, perfect for golden and poetic photos.
Discovering Seun Arcade and the Euljiro-dong district, with its retro workshops, vintage bars and neon signs, completely immersed me in an urban, historical and artistic atmosphere.
And what about Sipjiro! It is a real hidden gem for night photography. Thanks to the guidance of the guide and the atmosphere of the alleys lit, I was able to capture really magical photos, worthy of a pro shoot.
💡 If you like photography, architecture and authentic atmospheres, this tour is a must in Seoul. I recommend it 100%!

A Unique and Vibrant Seoul Experience – Photography, History & Great Company! - This tour was a highlight of my trip to Seoul. The Seoul Neon-sign Photoshoot and Hidden-gem History Walking Tour blends a mix of incredible photography with fascinating local stories.
Being a solo traveller, I was a bit nervous at first but James, our guide, brought the city's history to life with a lot of passion and humour. Instead of typical tourist spots, we explored off-the-beaten-path areas full of character and stories you wouldn’t hear elsewhere.
Jacob, the photographer, made posing feel natural—even for someone who’s camera-shy! The photos turned out beautifully, with Seoul’s neon-lit alleys and hidden corners as the perfect backdrop.
What made it really special was how friendly and relaxed it felt—like exploring the city with knowledgeable local friends. The small group size made it personal and engaging from start to finish!
Whether you're a photography lover, history fan, or just want a unique evening in Seoul, this tour delivers. You'll leave with amazing photos, new insights, and unforgettable memories.

Do not miss a tour with Koreanbong! So much fun! - First Neon-sign Tour:
I had SO MUCH fun on this walking tour. I really can't say enough good things about it! My favorite part was how at ease Jacob and James made us feel - as if we were simply hanging out with friends. The dynamic they offer with the dual language tour is also quite unique and appreciated as an English speaker trying to learn Korean. Jacob spoke Korean and James interpreted to English while also quizzing myself and another tour companion on what Jacob said. They took us to historically significant sites that other tours don't offer - hidden gems and lesser known facts that foreigners wouldn't necessarily know. When I told them I was a K-drama fan, they pointed out that one of my favorite dramas was filmed at the historical location we were at, and then indulged me with photos in front of it :)! They went with the flow and easily adjusted their route and time to accommodate our interests. Added a blurry photo I took that James jumped into as an example of how relaxed and fun the tour was.
Second Private Tour:
I loved my tour with Jacob and James so much that I booked a private tour and asked them to show me something that the typical tourist wouldn't get to see (or isn't popular among tourists). They showed me locations that are popular among locals and offer amazing photography opportunities (I love taking landscape photos, so this was great for me personally). Again, it felt like spending a couple hours with friends - very relaxed and comfortable while being fun and informative. They have a wealth of historical information about Seoul. A key fact that stood out was that the Hangang River was not originally as wide as it is today - it was widened during the active period of the Korean War for defensive purposes.
I truly appreciate that Jacob created a custom itinerary based on a vague request - and nailed it! - and James for being so accommodating with the last minute scheduling.
These gentlemen really provide a fantastic tour! I highly suggest any of their tours!

Get an in-depth understanding of Seoul's history and contemporary life - It would be great if there were local experts to introduce the night view and hidden attractions of Seoul!
I was very happy to experience a different Seoul with historians aka professional photographers Jacob and James!
They chose Jongno, the first area to develop after the war in Seoul, as the theme of the tour. You can follow them to explore the interesting local development and lifestyle. If you have any questions, they will also explain them professionally.

See MORE than the typical highlighted sights of Korea - I have been following James’ (aka Koreanbong) Instagram channel for a short while now and was impressed with his format of teaching how to speak Korean and sharing interesting facts about Korea. He speaks well, clearly, and at a good pace so it is easy to understand and learn from him.
When he announced he started a tour guide service (actively operating for 5 months now) that included photos, I knew he would be the perfect tour guide. I was SO right about James. The group was kept small so it was easy to hear everything he had to say. The pace was very comfortable, and he did a great job circulating himself amongst the participants so we all got to chat with him and ask our questions.
This is a tour for those who want to see more than the typical hightlighted signts of Korea. Also, if you are a fan of the Kdrama “Vincenzo” you’ll be right where all the action happened. I don’t want to give the details away because that’s why you want to do this tour.

Amazing! Highly recommend - Jacob and James were outstanding guides. They frequently went out of their way to give us the best experience- teach us the most and get amazing photos. They were flexible and kind and exceedingly professional. Highly recommend this tour and would use them again in Seoul!
