Gyeongbokgung Palace is the oldest and most magnificent of Seoul’s five palaces. Constructed in 1395, it is referred to as the “North Palace” because it is the northernmost of the five palaces.

Main Throne Hall (Geunjeongjeon): Experience the magnificence of the king’s official residence, where significant ceremonies and state affairs were conducted.
National Folk Museum: Visit the museum within the palace grounds, featuring artifacts that depict traditional Korean life.

In Insadong, visit shops offering traditional goods and enjoy lunch and traditional Korean tea, gaining a deeper understanding of Korean history and culture.
Enjoy an authentic Korean lunch (Guests pay directly on site on the day of the tour: 12,000 KRW ~ 15,000 KRW). Choose from kimchi stew, bibimbap (rice with vegetables & spicy red pepper paste), or nangmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles). Other meal options may be available. Please consult the guide. After the delightful meal, visit a traditional tea house to savor a cup of traditional tea (Guests pay directly on site on the day of the tour: 10,000 KRW). From there, everyone will part ways, enriched with knowledge and a satisfied appetite.

On this 4-hour small group tour, you will delve into the rich history and culture of Korea by visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace, the primary palace of the Joseon Dynasty. Gain detailed insights into the lives and governance of the royal family. You will also visit the National Folk Museum, located within the palace grounds, to learn about the daily lives of ordinary people during the Joseon Dynasty. Next, wander through the winding alleys of Bukchon Hanok Village, where the houses are built in the distinctive “Hanok” architectural style. The village features unique guesthouses, cafes, workshops, restaurants, museums, and galleries. Finally, we will take a 20-30 minute walk to Insadong for lunch and traditional tea at a traditional tea house.
