We walked from train... - We walked from train station to the market. The instructor showed us around the market and told us about the different foods there. She bought clams and soft tofu for our stew. We went to her studio, where we each had our own station and private room to dine in. Each station was set up with the necessary ingredients for each student’s meal. The instructor walked us through how to make the bulgogi marinade, then we proceeded to make the tofu stew. We took our bowl of soup to the dining room to enjoy it while the next meal prep was set up for us. We were instructed on how to cut the vegetables for the beef bibimbap and then how to cook on our individual burners. Afterwards we cooked the bulgogi and took our last two meals to the dining room. We enjoyed the meals and were provided with take home bowls for leftovers.

A Wonderful Learning Event - I don’t love to cook, but my daughter does. We did this activity mostly for her. That said, it wound up being a great time for both of us. Our teacher also easily accommodated my food restrictions and I was able to have the same great experience.

Great Hands On Korean Cooking Class ! - Learning to cook authentic Korean dishes was a great way to enjoy my time in Seoul. Cookorean hosted by Jomin was a perfect. The day before my class, Jomin emailed the list of 3 dishes that we were going to prepare & made sure there was no issues with food allergies. The joining instructions were clear & our group meet near the Mangwon station for our shopping trip for our ingredients at the Mangwon market. After the market, we headed to our cooking studio, which was clean & well laid out for our group of 4. We prepared our 3 dishes & enjoyed our meals. Jomin was an excellent chef & guided us through the process with ease. She spoke English very well. She also provided each of us with a small cookbook with a variety of easy to make authentic Korean dishes for our future meals once we are back home. Thank you for the great experience.

Great experience, easy meals to cook at home! - Great way to start with a visit to the local market. While we didn’t buy ingredients, we got valuable insights from a local, which was much appreciated. We cooked three dishes: seafood tofu stew, bibimbap, and bulgogi. The instructions were clear, the meals were delicious, and they were easy to recreate at home. Highly recommend!
