Oedolgae - 외돌개 (Oedolgae)
Oedolgae marks the beginning of Jeju Olle Trail Course 7 and is a striking stone pillar that rises 20 meters from the sea. Its solitary stance in the ocean earned it the name ‘Oedolgae’. Also known as ‘General Stone’ and ‘Grandma Rock’, legend has it that General Choi Yeong adorned this rock to resemble a general during a battle against the Yuan Dynasty, leading to the enemy’s downfall. For the story behind the name ‘Grandma Rock’, refer to the legend below. The rocks not only showcase natural beauty but also reflect the lives of Jeju’s sea-dependent people.
These stone pillars are thought to have formed during a volcanic eruption. Scientifically, a chimney-shaped stone pillar, where surrounding rocks are eroded by waves leaving only the resilient rocks, is termed a sea stack. -
Jeongbang Waterfall - 정방폭포 (Jeongbang Falls)
Jeongbang Falls is one of Jeju Island’s top three waterfalls, alongside Cheonjiyeon Falls and Cheonjeyeon Falls. It is unique in Korea as the only waterfall where water cascades directly into the sea. Standing 23 meters tall, the dual streams of water tumbling down the dark cliff create a thrilling sound and a stunning view. The steep cliffs and ancient pine trees surrounding the falls add to the picturesque scenery, recognized as one of the Ten Scenic Sights of Yeongju, known as “Jeongbanghapok.” The words ‘Seobulgwacha’ are said to be inscribed on the cliffs of Jeongbang Falls. -
Seongsan Ilchulbong - 성산일출봉 (Seongsan Ilchulbong)
Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone, a prominent Jeju landmark, was formed approximately 5,000 years ago from an underwater volcanic eruption. It is renowned as a prime spot for viewing sunrises, considered one of Jeju Island’s top ten scenic wonders. Besides sunrise viewing, Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone is also a favored trekking destination. The Seongsan-Ojo Trail links two villages by traversing the peak, while the Jijil Trail offers a closer look at the UNESCO-designated geopark and Jeju’s local culture. Walking these trails is recommended to fully appreciate the area; reaching the summit provides views of the expansive volcanic crater and the surrounding blue ocean. -
Gwangchigi Beach - 광치기 해변 (Gwangchigi Beach)
Gwangchigi Beach offers one of the most pristine and breathtaking views along Jeju’s coastline. In the distance, Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, stands as a gem of Jeju Island.
The area features numerous trendy cafes and restaurants, along with travel accommodations and family-friendly activities like the Aquaplanet Aquarium. It is also where Olle walking trails 1 and 2 converge. -
Seongeup Folk Village - 성읍민속마을 (Seongeup Folk Village)
This entire village, preserving the traditional lifestyle of old Jeju, is designated as an Important Folklore Cultural Heritage. Unlike typical folk villages, it remains inhabited. The village residents volunteer as guides, providing visitors with a wealth of information. The Saw-leaf Zelkova and Japanese hackberry trees in the village center are noteworthy attractions. -
Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market - Seogwipo Olle Market is the largest market in Seogwipo-si and a traditional market that emerged spontaneously in the early 1960s. Beginning with a 120-meter arcade in 2001, a total of 620 meters of arcades have been established, playing a crucial role in Seogwipo’s economy.
The parking lot offers maximum convenience with a 1-hour free parking system and a delivery service that transports goods to the desired location at no cost for customers purchasing products at the market. Additionally, it features an outdoor performance hall and a park with a fountain, catering to future potential customers, including teenagers.

Unforgettable Jeju - We had an amazing experience in Jeju today, all thanks to Mr. Hong, our excellent guide. He expertly showed us all the attractions around Jeju, ensuring we didn't miss any of the island's highlights. Not only did he provide insightful information about each site, but he also took fantastic pictures for us, capturing the memories perfectly.

Best intro to Jeju! - Mr Jeong was our guide and he was fantastic! Even though the rain was very heavy he provided umbrellas and rain coats and the tour was brilliant!
He introduced us to delicious local food and we knew it had to be good coz all the local truckers were lining up for a scrumptious buffet!
