Highlights
  • Thingvellir National Park - Situated on the northern shores of Þingvallavatn (Iceland’s largest lake), Þingvellir (anglicized as ‘Thingvellir’) is a source of national pride and Iceland’s first National Park. It holds significant historical importance as the site where the world’s oldest existing parliament first convened in 930 AD. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Þingvellir is protected for its unique geological and natural features. From the viewing area, visitors can see the Almannagjá canyon, which lies between two tectonic plates, illustrating continental drift.

As the first stop on the tour, visitors will have the chance to explore the park and use the restroom if needed.

  • Geysir - A highlight of the Golden Circle, the Geysir Hot Spring Area is known for its boiling mud pits and the dynamic Strokkur, which erupts water 30 meters (100 ft) into the air every few minutes. This area has been active for over 1000 years and includes more than a dozen hot spring holes. Although Geysir itself now only emits steam, its name has become synonymous with spouting hot springs worldwide.

During the tour, the newly opened Geysir Center provides guests with restroom facilities, refreshments, and lunch options.

  • Gullfoss Waterfall - One of Iceland’s most beloved attractions, Gullfoss is a stunning waterfall located in the canyon of the Hvítá river in the southwest. The Hvítá river cascades southward in three stages into a narrow canyon, creating a spectacular display of power and beauty. On clear days, visitors can also see the impressive Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s second-largest glacier, in the distance.

Restroom facilities and food and refreshments are available for guests at this location as well.

  • Reykjavik Terminal - After returning to Reykjavik from the Golden Circle, there will be a 30-minute break before heading to the Blue Lagoon.
  • Sky Lagoon - The newest geothermal lagoon in Iceland is located in the Reykjavik area. Guests can immerse themselves in the warmth of the oceanside geothermal lagoon, with the dramatic North Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. Relax and unwind while enjoying stunning sunsets, moody skies, and, if fortunate, a mesmerizing display of the Northern Lights. Enhance your relaxation with the Skjól Ritual, a unique and enriching experience.

Great experience! - Darren and driver Paulo made an awesome trip even better. Darren as a tour guide was extreemly knowlegable and entertaining - he probably talked for 4-5 hours and it was never boring. Paulo was one of the best bus drivers I have seen. He threaded that bus though narrow bridges and busy parking lots like a pro!

Amazing time! - Tour was amazing! Iceland is surreal and everyone should go at least once. Unexpected treat was the sheep at the pretend craters. So moving watching the lambs bleating for their mom and her crossing the ravine to get to them! Luckily, we planned to go to Sky Lagoon as our tour guide told us Blue Lagoon was being evacuated as the volcano started erupting again!

100% recommend this tour! - We both had an amazing tour. Darren and Helgi were both fantastic. It's rare to find a tour guide who has a great sense of humor as well as local knowledge but our tour guide Darren had them both and made the trip a memorable one. The tour itself took in some amazing sights, the Gullfoss waterfall being my favourite.

Great day - Darren and helge were our Tour guides and they were great really informative and lots of interesting stories very friendly and helpful …it was a great atmosphere on the coach and was definitely because of the guides ….the only issue we had was that the charging ports didn’t work and when you are taking lots of pics and videos it drains the phone battery when your out all day so would have been really useful if it had worked … pick up from the hotel went really smoothly and everything seemed well planned and organised

Wonderful day in Iceland - Very good tour and outstanding guide (Gunnar). Everyone enjoyed the day and the history lessons. The Sky Lagoon is very different from the Blue Lagoon and both are must visits for Iceland.

One Day in Reykjavik - Arrived July 5 prior to July 6 cruise and booked the tour above, which was an all day tour. We experienced amazing views at Thingvellir National Park, the Geysers, and Gulfoss Waterfall. The guide was excellent. Highlight of the day was Sky Lagoon, geothermal spring just minutes from Reykjavik. It was a beautiful way to relax after a long day of walking. Have been to Blue Lagoon, and much prefer the Sky Lagoon.

Great tour but logistics not seamless - Tour was great. However, like what others had mentioned it felt very fragmented. I had 3 different drivers for the day. First one picked me up and others who were going to the airport, along with those who went on different tours. At least my name was on the list. Arrived to a bus terminal and transferred to another bus for the tour - name was on list (there were 4 different buses for different tours). Golden Circle was great! After that, 12/14 of us got dropped off at Secret Lagoon while the rest of us got dropped off at Sky Lagoon. Sky Lagoon was lovely. I got to watch the beautiful sunset by the infinity pool. The 7 step ritual was relaxing as well! The perfect way to end the day. We were told another bus that looked similar will pick us up at the bus stop area but he didn’t have a list of names so I was confused along with the other passengers. We got back to the first bus terminal and those who went to the airport got dropped off while the others like myself got dropped off at our proper bus stop requests.
