Definitely worth booking - Great tour that gives useful advice and tips whilst on the Island. Lots of time given to explore alone and a good tour by boat around the island.

Best tour in Capri - Very good experience, the boat tour around the island is the best part, we had plenty of time to walk around the cities, if you have the chance rent a scooter. Plus they picked very close to the hotel, so we had no concern at all

Capri Trip from Vico Equense - Well organised. Elena was very helpful and knowledgeable about Capri and kept the group together and clear about timings. The panoramic boat trip of the island was the best part, it’s beautiful. When on the island, we did a lot of walking which we enjoy, but the island is very hilly so if you don’t want to do a lot of walking you will need to get bus tickets or the tour operator’s bus which is an extra €25. The bars and cafes are very expensive so we had dinner when we got home. One negative- the advert says Towers Hotel in Vico Equense can be a pick up point, but when we asked about this, it was an extra €15 Euros each. The driver said this made no sense as he drove past the hotel, but we had to be picked up in the town’s train station. Being picked up at the hotel, which is on the main road, would have been better.

This is a good tour, in... - This is a good tour, in hindsight, where everything went without a problem and everything it says it will do it does. The pickup from Pompei was easy and efficient however the van we had pumped out as much hot air at your feet as it did cold air above you; after 40 minutes on the bus doing the other collections I was boiled. You’re some what dropped off at the port and need to find your own way to redeem your ticket, easy enough and the staff were certainly friendly and spoke English well. When the tour started it was a chaotic walk through the streets without a lot of consideration to safety of cars and bikes trying to get past. The boarding of the ship is as chaotic with a rush to all get on, there’s no safety briefing; but suspect this is standard for the region. Boat transfer was fine, reasonably priced refreshments offered (bring cash) and perfectly pleasant and safe past the Sorrento coast. On arrival in Capri it is very chaotic with lots of tourists, there wasn’t a lot of clarity from the guides and we almost ended up in the wrong group. We were then handed a ticket and told to line up. This was for the round the island tour, for me this didn’t do a whole lot - lots of rocks and views of yachts lasted about an hour. Once more off the boat and marched to the travel agent shop to be given a map and details on how to get around the island. We had lunch in the harbour which was lovely and took the semi-private bus to Anacapri and Capri - don’t try to walk up to Capri, it’s a very steep incline with little shade. The day ended and we chose to walk the descent to the harbour which was nice to do, and easy as all downhill. However not accessible with prams or wheelchairs. Back at the meeting point we were greeted with a glass of lemoncello which was a nice touch. Transfer back to Pompei ran smoothly but again with very warm ankles. This is a good tour and guarantees a somewhat stress free journey to Capri avoiding the risk of public transport queues. But be prepared to have to pay attention and work with limited information.

Hidden costs! - The cost of the trip isn’t a true reflection of the expense on the day. When you arrive in Capri you soon realise that this island is very busy and expensive!! The Tour Operator sells you €25 mini bus tickets so you can get to the main attractions. We wanted to go up the mountain in a chairlift coasting €14 which was reasonable and well worth the money. The whole island was super busy and we were ready to leave after 4 hours. We have to wait a further three hours sat in busy and expensive bar/restaurants. The only thong worthwhile was our lunch at the top of the mountain and I wished I spent more time enjoying the view rather than the marina.

Beware of misleading information - The website showed our hotel as a pick up point, but when we booked it it said pick up wasn’t possible and the transfer bus wasn’t available to us. So taxis cost us 70euro extra, even though we were only just up the coast. The guide never met us at our collection point (again as advertised), and only met us at Capri. The tour around the island was okay but the guide added very little information and value, and was generally inaudible. The advice offered on travelling around Capri was incorrect and local buses were fine. We waiting a maximum of 15 minutes, not the 50 minutes to an hour as were told. The hop on bus would have cost us another 100 euro for a family of 4. Instead the bus was 20 euro. I mentioned this to the guide and said I was a bit disappointed but he didn’t really seem interested in taking our feedback forward, which is a shame because the comms prior to that had been excellent.
