Join our marine biologists on an afternoon excursion by van to one of the top 3 beaches in the world for nesting Olive Ridley sea turtles (and 3 other species too!).
We pick you up in a modern, air conditioned vehicle at your accommodation for the 80 minute drive to Playa Escobilla. There are printed materials with info about the sea turtles and our guide will offer information during the drive.
When we arrive at the sea turtle conservation project we check in at the office and give our donation to their project.
Then we head to the beach for a briefing about the baby sea turtles and how to safely release them.
As the sun begins to set over the Pacific, this is the moment as you release the baby sea turtles!
They are determined to get into the ocean, the waves push them back onto the beach, but they will make it…so wonderful to watch them knowing it will be 30 years before they return to this same beach.
With a sense of a great accomplishment we return your to your Huatulco accommodation and send you the photos.
