The trip is very... - The trip is very well-organised and smooth. Just a bit pity that we couldn't reach Mary's bridge due to weather reason. Our tour guide Steven is amazing!

Excellent Mishap - I ended up booking the Bus/Castle/Carriage tour because I was too late to book a single Ticket on the Castle website What a happy surprise! our guide, Steve, was full of knowledge about, not only the castle, but the rich history of the family & area. I Would say more, but don't want to spoil any surprises for future visitors - I give Steve 10 out of 5 Stars (Tour Date Dec 10, 2024 - 10am)

Despite our train being... - Despite our train being late, connection missed and us barely arriving to the gates on time, Caroline was very responsive and helpful guiding us on how to make it on time for our gate tickets and was just lovely. There was another group member who was a little unsure of her footing getting down the hill to the horse drawn carriage area after the tour and she held her arm the whole time to make sure she didn’t slip.

Great Tour, Snowy Weather - Steven was an amazing tour guide! He was really knowledgeable and had a great delivery of the history of the castle. If you go in Winter, be prepared to walk up the hill in the snow to the castle since the busses won’t run! 10/10 would book this tour again.

Amazing guide and top notch experience - Our family including 2 college age children were thoroughly impressed with our private guided tour of Neuschwanstein and Howencchwangau. Our guide Stephen Wendell was so easy to work with, gave us such interesting history and tales that made the fairy tale experience even more idyllic. I highly recommend seeing the Neuschwanstein castle first and finishing with Howencchwangau. We had a nice break between, allowing us time for souvenirs and light lunch. He was very prepared, including providing umbrellas for the rain and snow. He took care to point out the landscape, context of the time period, corrected myths or twists of the stories about King Ludwig. Overall it was a highlight of our trip!

Great Private Tour Guide Experience, But Castle Tour Is Rushed - Okay, so this tour has two parts. One with your private tour guide (before and after touring the castle) and then an audio tour inside of the castle minus your private tour guide. My rating is based on the PRIVATE TOUR and not the castle audio guide tour. Steven, our private tour guide, was fun and shared lots of historical info! His portion of the tour (both before and after touring the castle) was phenomenal!! He was friendly, upbeat and interacted with all of the people on his tour. I would for sure sign up on a tour with Steven again! The castle tour, where do I begin? Once you’re inside Neuschwanstein, you are moving at 100MPH. The speed of the interior castle tour is controlled by the castle employees and had nothing to do with our private tour guide (Steven). We were herded like cattle and whisked around from room to room. The attention to detail in the castle is extraordinary and beautiful, but you will not have time to admire or enjoy it as you are moving at the speed of light toward the multiple gift shops to make a purchase. It wouldn’t be that bad if you were allowed to take pictures or video during the tour, as you could review those later. But you aren’t allowed to photograph or video inside the castle. If you do, security will escort you out. If it weren’t for Steven, this tour would get 1 star! But because of his interest in the history of the area and the castle itself, I am leaving him 5 stars! Neuschwanstein, people come to see the interior of the castle. Get your act together!

Strongly recommend Stephen and the tour - Stephen was a great guide who shared fantastic information, back story and historic detail. Not having to worry about the logistics and having somebody to guide, get tickets and answer questions was incredibly helpful.
