Fantastic safari tour with George! - Well worth doing! This safari tour was excellent. George was our guide and fantastic driver. The jeep was very comfortable. George is very knowledgeable guy with very nice personality. The places we’ve seen, the walk we’ve done and the food we’ve ate was amazing. Traditional Greek food is so tasty😋At the end we went to olive oil factory for oil tasting and shopping. Awesome products!!!! I would definitely recommend to do this tour with them👍

Don’t hesitate! Book this spectacular experience - This is an extraordinary excursion. The variety of stops, the beauty and the information were all beyond our expectations. George was 10 out of 10 as a guide!!! We have taken many tours in many places around the world and this is a standout. We traveled with one other couple and George switched from French to English with ease and created for us a connection as a group not hampered at all by different languages. Our meal was not only in the most beautiful setting but we experience Crete through our tastebuds too. Our hike was challenging in spots but George knew the route and kept us all safe and at no time did we feel rushed. Despite heavy rain the day before, not one slipped! The description and other reviews encouraged us that we would have a great time but we had way beyond great. The vehicle was so perfect for all the activities and so comfortable. If you take only one tour in Crete, do this and hopefully you will get George. From olive factory to waterways to lunch and ancient tree and ruins it was a marvelous day. If we could give it 6 stars we would, five just doesn’t seem like enough!.

A fantastic day out in Eastern Crete, with excellent guide and delicious lunch. Thoroughly recommended, especially amongst the - We booked our trip for 2 before leaving England. We were able to chat on WhatsApp beforehand about the trips from Adventure Crete and chose this one and one other next week (review to follow). Pick ups were available and our hotel near Elounda was included so it was straightforward to start the excursion, with the exact time confirmed a couple of days before as this depends on the pickups of the group in the vehicle. In our case we were 2 of 6 passengers. Our English speaking local guide was passionate about the history and culture of Crete and was able to answer detailed questions from our group. As well as the main sights on the tour we learned about spring flowers and wildlife (including an eagle and a vulture) and about agricultural practices. We had the opportunity to smell thyme and wild plants that are used in Cretan cooking and tea, and see different fruits on trees and bushes, and lots of olive trees. At the start, after the olive oil factory visit and a coffee break (with toilet breaks available at both) we walked up the gorge to the waterfall amidst beautiful flowers and trees. Shoe advice should be heeded as there are some rocks and a few minor river crossings on stepping stones and logs. The tavern lunch was late on and very tasty, and the Azoria late Mycenaean site and ancient Olive tree a final highlight. This was a day well spent and thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful day in good company - Gaetan aka Dimitris 😂, made us have an exceptional day! A great Guide who showed us beautiful villages in addition to the tour. The waterfall is just sublime!! The family olive oil factory was perfect and Gaetan even translated the explanations of the place Owner. I highly recommend this excursion especially if you want to spend a pleasant day in joy and simplicity 🙏

A very enjoyable and worthwhile trip enhanced by our guide Enrico, we would highly recommend to everyone. - We were picked up from our Hotel at 0930 at the specified time. Our guide Enrico was Italian and spoke very good English, he was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful especially when going up the richtis gorge to the mountain waterfall where I went for a dip in the cool water for some good photos. We visited an olive farm and had a taste session which was good the staff were all very friendly as well. The views from the Taverna where we stopped for lunch were amazing and the food was local and very nice. After lunch we headed to the ancient settlement and one of the oldest trees in the world. We didn’t feel we were rushed along and could stop and take photos when wanted. We arrived back at about 1730 after having a fantastic day and would thoroughly recommend this tour.

Would have had potential. Had none, though. - The guide Gaetan was nice and punctual. The tour went as described all day, but was personally not worth the money. Basically we had to drive an hour to the pick-up point and went straight to the waterfall (with a stopover in an olive oil manufactory where you should of course leave mighty money ..). Once there, nothing was explained to us, there was no herbal walk or similar. The guide ran ahead the whole time. All other points were fulfilled, but we didn't learn anything particularly interesting - instead, the guide talked constantly about himself and his future plans in the acting industry. So basically there were only two stops and little information about the island and the culture, the places you could explore well yourself and find us the information was just a Google search away. In addition, despite other description there was no water, this we had to get ourselves. All in all, I would not book again.
