Great experience for smaller children - This place was much larger than I anticipated . They have rooms available for rent, a small roller coaster, a jungle gym and a movie theater. They also have a small food station with limited options upstairs, but it is a bit costly (for food). My nephew throughly enjoyed his 6th birthday.

Chaotic fun - Legoland is a fun family experience if you are fine with crowds. There are some fun rides and the cafe is nice. The kids enjoy the Lego Chicago model, the 4D movie and the build a race car area. Also a nice jungle gym area for those kids that really need to let out some energy! If you can handle the crowds, it is a fun experience for the Lego-loving kids in your life!

Not worth the money - Display of Legos. Large play area. Ending up in a Lego store. So not worth the money of entry. Although all the employees were extremely nice and helpful.

Not worth the money - I went with my 2 grandchildren (ages 2 and 5). The Lego sculptures were impressive. But there wasn't really anything special for the kids to do - just a lot of stations with random collections of Lego pieces. The indoor playground was nice, but a little wild for smaller kids. The one ride we went on (the carousel) was okay. All in all, too expensive for what it is. Not worth the money, in my opinion.

Out of control kids ruin experience for young ones. Poor management. - If your child is 6 or 7 & under forget it. Day camp YMCA kids run wild. Counselors do nothing, Lego staff not present. Manager looks like he doesn’t even shave yet and listens with a stupid look on his face. When they finally left younger kids could finally enjoy the place. All of the other employees on the rides and food shop were very friendly. Nothing really exceptional here to make it worth the price of admission. Save the money, buy a lego kit , and take your kid to the park.

Not worth the price! - Way overpriced! Too basic because this could be a wonderful experience if more equitable. Additionally, this place needs a good cleaning and some updating!

Poor Customer Service - I took my girlfriend here as a date and they wouldn't let us in b/c we did not have a kid with us. It didn't say "kid's only" on our tickets nor did I see that when I was buying two adult tickets online. It should not have let me buy the tickets if their policy is directly against that. Staff was also kind of rude about it. Like extremely fake smile rude. And when I was offered a refund, the staff communicated the whole process poorly. They offered, then got quiet and just starred at me. So I followed one of them to go get the return and then he finally told me another staff member was on their way to do it. I think the whole staff I dealt with could use customer service training.

Don't go, waste of money. - We bought the all inclusive package for the family. It was a Monday. After entered, we found only few around, there was no staff to operate the train, so had to gave it up; then the power went out for the movie, staff wasn't able to fix it, so had to gave it again. totally waste of the money.

Won't accommodate eating restrictions and is very rundown - Legoland Discovery Center in Chicago is not at all friendly to families with eating restrictions. After being given permission over the phone to bring food that we could eat, when on site we were rudely asked to leave. No effort was made to accommodate us, nor did they uphold what we were told on the phone. I've never had a kid's attraction refuse to with me, especially when I've sought permission ahead of time. I've been taking kids since this location opened, and we noticed some big differences this time around. My kids had great experiences there in the past. Now I'm taking nieces, nephews, etc. In the past few years, the Discovery Center has become rundown. The staff are rude and do not seem to enjoy their jobs. Lego creations have been removed, attractions are beat up or broken, and many of the building sites are missing key Lego pieces. For example, the race building station that is a long-time favorite is missing pieces they recommend (in signs around the race area) to build a vehicle. On top of that, the price continues to go up. This was a mainstay for us, but I don't think we'll be back. My money is better spent elsewhere. The disrespectful staff put it over the top for me.
