Interesting, well organized, we got a lot of background information. Nice and relaxed atmosphere - Our guide Alessio was very familiar with the subject. He was an absolutely great guide, told a lot of background, showed pictures from the books. The most amazing thing was meeting the charming Don Franco in the house he owned, which served as Casa Corleone in the film. There was a lot of movie spirit in the house.

Leave the gun, take the cannoli - Great Tour! We visited the Castello degli Schiavi, Forza d'Agrò and Savoca (in this order) and had the opportunity to see all the relevant places where the scenes from Godfather part I, II and III were shot. The tour guide and also the owner of the Castello were very friendly and knowledgeable and shared their insights! For my husbnd and myself the Castello degli Schiavi was the absolute highlight: This is not only the location, where the car exploded in part I, but also where Michael dies in part III...you can even sit on the very chair where the scene was shot. We had a great day and can only recommend this tour for all cineasts and Godfather fans! Thanks again for a great day!

A 10 out of 10!! - This tour was absolutely outstanding, I can't imagine anything they could do to improve it. For both my friend and I, we agree that this was the best thing we did in Sicily. Eventhough it looks like just a "movie tour", we visited 3 towns and had a private guide (just lucky that no one else signed up when we were there) and saw spectacular scenery. Our guide, Gianmarco, was completely wonderful! He was knowledgeable, personable, patient and made the day great fun. We did the "add on" to go inside the Castello degli Schiavi - where Appollonia dies in a car explosion and later Michael dies - and met with the Baron who owns the castle and still lives there. It was an additional 25 Euros each and worth every single penny. The visit was so fun, so authentic and the Baron so so charming and kind. He was genuinely happy that we visited and went out of his way to show us around his beautiful property and home. The 3 towns we visited were all different and gave us a great view of the area. I can't say enough goood things about this tour, Sicily Grand Tour (the tour operator) and especially our wonderful guide, Gianmarco. If you do this, I would also recommend visiting inside the Castello degli Schiavi.

First date revisited - My husband and I had our first date in May, 1972, and it was going to see “The Godfather”, so this experience was made for us! We had a thoroughly wonderful time, despite some inclement weather. Our guide Gianmarco was entertaining and full of some amazing trivia and tidbits. He really knows his stuff! And to top it off, we had lunch at a wonderful restaurant in Forza d'Agrò; in our ten days in Sicily, this was hands down the best pizza we had!

Best ever tour with knowledgeable engaging tour guide - Our first visit to Sicily had to include a Godfather grand tour of as much as we could see in an eight hour span...Alessio Patanè and his Sicily Grand Tour company provided an experience beyond belief. Our day began with a timely pick up (although our ship was late by one hour) at our meet-up place. The van was comfortable, and the drive was magnificent as we continued to pick up more passengers for a total of 6 tourists, including ourselves. Alessio kept our interest engaged with extraordinary Godfather Saga trivia facts and never heard of behind the scenes history throughout the ride of winding uphill roads through the tremendous Sicilan countryside. We toured extensively the following locations: 1. Fiumefreddo, Sicily and Castello degli Schiavi, name of the Coreolone villa. Meeting Baron Franco Platania, owner of the his family villa, and having the privileged access to his family's mansion and history, was beyond imagination. The unique Godfather collection of personalized memorabilia the Baron shared with us was accentuated with Alessio's detailed history, which included pieces to the Godfather Saga, but also the Sicilian Old World. There are so many photo opportunities in the mansion as well as the grounds, including standing on the balcony where Michael asks Fabrizio to prepare the car, to walking the stairs Michael walks down when Fabrizio runs out of the gate before the car blows up. Spectacular experience. 2. Savoca, Sicily: where the church Michael and Apollonia got married and Bar Vitelli are located. The landscape is full of photo opportunities, including walking down the stone paved road Apollonia and Michael's wedding party marched. There are beautiful shops to cruise and time to spend wandering this beautiful area. We had lunch at Bar Vitelli, which serves large bruschetta dishes named after Michael, Apollonia, and Vito. Huge portions of wonderfully delicious food. We toasted the meal with a cup of their own limoncello and bought several flasks from the bar as gifts. Throughout the visit, Alessio continued to feed our time with explanations of the who, what and why all Godfather. 3. Forza D’Agrò, Sicily: where the church the gangsters were calling out for Vito Andolini and visiting little Vito's family home amongst other scenes in the trilogy. Another spectacular area of countless opportunities to walk where the Godfather history has been forever chronicled. Alessio played out a scene for us in Italian, which will forever be in my heart. In summary, the entire experience has forever been engraved into my heart and soul. A memory of life I am eternally grateful for. Alessio made the experience and has imprinted the memories of the experiences in a way beyond description. Alessio has personal relationships with each and every stop along the tour. Whether that be with the Baron or the proprietors of the bar, he is well known and respected throughout the communities we visited. Wholeheartedly without reservation will utilize Alessio and The Sicily Grand Tour company during our next Sicilan adventure. Grazie mille Alessio ❤️

Do it! - Nice for Godfather fans and not fans. Beautiful villages. Beautiful scenery, beautiful churches. Just sitting by the sea at Giardino Naxus. Old baron of the scavia villa - extra option in the tour - receives you overexcited. He's added a little museum, but I'd do it mostly out of high season. I'm afraid it's too busy otherwise. We could now eat quietly at Bar Vitellli, but the owner reported that in summer at least 8 coaches with 60 tourists each pass by, in addition to the independent travelers...Do it also in combination with a visit to Taormina if you can arrange that with the guide. You'll have a really good day.
